i do think leaving TAP was forshadowing something bad… they wouldve had her up the BBMAs stage and already booked an SNL gig most likely.

for me it's been incredibly crazy that no one knows that she has a new song out and it's from people that follow her on social media and like listening to her songs.

i think dropping remixes will help the song. they dropped like tens of remixes to DSN and that really did help to promote the song. Especially the Live in LA remix. She needs to do the same for Houdini, book an SNL gig in december and then promote it by gradually dropping remixes. No awardshow will happen until the Grammys so we have to wait on that (for 3 more months)

- USA biggest debut (predicted for #11)

- Tied With DSN as bigger UK Debut at #2

- Biggest Dua Debut at Spotify

- Houdini video biggest Dua video in 24 hours 12 million 1st day 

- 30 million 1st weeI at Spotify

people definitely knew the song was out but its not instant hit material according to the GP. otherwise it would’ve been more stable by now. but i do believe in the end it will revive. it will just take longer since the promo is N/A so far.

I've talked about my personal experience. I've already talked to 5 different people that didn't know she had a new song out and they all follow her/likes her/listen to her. another important comment on this, they don't use to listen to spotify/Apple Music playlists.

 

it's clear that there are a lot of people and they're streaming. maybe what I've been witnessing is that people are not die-hard fan for her so they're not seeking to know news from her, on the other hand it's interesting because Houdini has room to grow as more people become aware of it.
