What does Beyoncé need to do to debut with 1m+?

Why do people keep claiming that ST sold close to a million in 7 days? It sold 991k in 10 days thanks to a surprise release gimmick. It wouldn't have cleared 1 million with a standard release we saw this with other Beyonce albums.

Shut the **** up.

It sold over 617k in 3 days on iTunes alone....If she tried and was obsessed with debut numbers like your fave she would've find any trick to pass that million.

Now go finger yourself with one of your 55 variants of Swift vinyls...

Contrary to what a lot of people on this site believe, Beyoncé has nothing left to prove. She has entered the third decade of her career and she herself has said that all she cares about is having more fun with her music. She's more than made her mark and has resonated with thousands of people worldwide. And she's one of the very few MPGs whose discography is extremely consistent in quality, concepts and ideas. That 1M debut is irrelevant when the music keeps being amazing :gaycat5:

Doing these numbers and uniting so many different people only means one thing: hype + basic/generic sound.

Im very thankful for Bey not even trying to please everyone anymore. Ever since ditching the need to feed into the GP (post IASF), shes become phenomenal

It's honestly whack that Taylor Swift of all people has been pulling these numbers for so long now. Just think about it, the amount of insanely talented (in multiple aspects), charismatic, stunning female artists we have seen blow up and whose careers then dwindled for multiple different reasons these past 40 years and yet it's Taylor Swift who keeps seeing this success just does not add up for me?  Shania Twain, a commercial juggernaut of a similar ilk, ran circles around this girl in every aspect and her career stalled but this girl, who in Europe probably appeared on the radar for the first time when she embarrassed herself with snortworthy live vocals next to Stevie Nicks, is still selling numbers that even a peer like Adele who palpably captured the entire world's admiration couldn't keep selling??

Beyoncé would need to release bad, corny, insipid music that basic people can relate to.

however I don’t Beyoncé is interested in that. Renaissance devours any Taylor album in terms of quality. Taylor’s music is the equivalent of McDonald’s cheap, fast and easily accessible.

She doesn't need to. She's cemented her status as a legend and one of the greats already.

Other artists need the numbers and stats because they just don't have the talent, the music, or star quality to convince anyone outside of their core fanbase that they deserve to be a legend.

like how can she change her identity?

Beyonce will never be able to do it because she's just not on the same level as Taylor.

She’s proven she doesn’t need a 1m debut to have you all talking about her even on your fave’s release weekend.

You guys are talking about Taylor all the time so don't play that card :toofunny3:

Isn't ST her highest debut? Are you saying that it sold that much because it was basic/generic? :rip:

I don't hate Beyonce. I'm just annoyed by her delusional fanbase.

At this point almost 30 years into her career, it’s not gonna happen.

She came close several times and is still a trail blazing unstoppable legend with like half a dozen opening weeks over half a million.

Her 5th album sold 617k in 3 days. That would have been the closest

Are the "several times" in the room with us? She failed to do it in the 2000s at her peak when it was much easier. 600k-800k is not close to a million.

beyonce and friends bandaids 50 for queen bee charity helping globalization causes. :sadviolin:

She doesn't

The question is how many can still remain a powerhouse thats breaking records left & right whilst remaining a global force 26 years later in there career?

Beyonce doesn't need to sell a million in a week
