I was about to say. Didn’t she do close to a million but she self sabotaged herself by releasing the records midweek?

It sold 991,000 in ten days, concentrated toward the first half as 617,000 of that was in the first three days - so she probably would have crossed the 900k mark first week if she released at a traditional time. It’s not too much of a stretch to see that turning into a million if she’d done something additional to promote it.

How many people have actually did 1m+ debuts in the first place. It can't be that many. Even huge huge acts never opened over 1m

What does Taylor need to do to debut with 3m+ like Adele?

The Beyoncé is a made woman and doesn't need a 1M+ week opener to sit at the table with her idols. None of them, sans MJ, even have 1M+ week openers themselves.

The bigger question would be would Beyoncé want a 1m+ debut? Cause she does everything in her power to actually sabotage her numbers these days

Lets be real, Beyonce was never an album seller, no even in 2003. She is one of the few girls from her gen to not have a 10kk album in the US. We can talk about the general declining in sales, but Adele and Taylor achieved that on the streaming eras and deep into their career, so, no excuses.

I think the general public dont care really about her music, they like her concerts, to see her with wind on her hair and stuff like that.

Some artists are the opposite: they sell a lot of album but cant sell concerts.

Taylor has it all!

The girls from her generation :

Alicia Keys

Ashanti

Avril Lavigne

J-Lo

Shakira

Brandy

Monica

Britney

Xtina

Amerie

Mya

Two of them do. Both white, both pop artists, both at the peak of pure sales. And the RnB girls who debuted before B during that peak of sales haven't, not even Alicia.

You're a liar and bad at it. No RnB female artist from her generation has. She is okay with being the most successful female RnB artist since her debut. She's good.

-------

OT : I'm glad that Beyoncé is the first thing that pop in Swifties' mind when their fave scores big numbers.

Her biggest being 2016’s Lemonade 653k.

She debuted almost a DECADE before Taylor, 9 years. 1997. Let’s get that straight.

her biggest opening week is BEYONCÉ, which scanned about 900K in its first seven days of release, and 1 million by 10 days.

She just so happened to release it on a Friday (which changed the global release day due to its success), so it only technically got 3 tracking days.

She can't, and that's fine.

She's impacted music and culture by other means, such as being great at what she does and not how great her sales are.

Taylor shares her love to Beyonce -> Taylor releases an album with very successful numbers -> Swifties think - lest trash Beyoncé

What a twisted logic

What a twisted logic

Taylor shares love for every other artist she meets

She thinks Ice Spice is one of the best.

Also this thread is not made by Swifties but by an OTH

So , why insert Swifties here?

Again not started by them so why calling out

Call out the OP no???

You all deliberately make these kinds of threads to attack Taylor and Swifties.

Is someone asking OP why he made this specific thread??

I will tell you the answer,  to undermine Taylor achievements to just fluke and promotion over their godly favorites

Self titled was close with a full week :clap3:

Swifties focusing on this instead of 1989 is a bit weird? Ngl

I apologize for the swifties. We keep on accumulating toxic success stans that love hiding behind Taylor to  drag other artists.  Only flops reduce their numbers so we haven't had a good clearing of the house for a while.

The random lies when she sold more albums than other MPG except for Taylor and Adele :rip:

She sold also the most singles besides Rihanna :rip:

From CM:
1) Madonna 146m pure albums sales + 64m other LP + 75m physical single + 42m digital single = 327 million

2) Rihanna: 33m pure albums sales + 1.2m other LP + 3.6m physical single + 257m digital single = 295 million

3) Mariah: 116m pure albums sales + 31.2m other LP + 37m physical single + 50m digital single = 234.2 million

4) Taylor: 56.5m pure albums sales + 10.3m other LP + 0.32m physical single + 162m digital single = 229.1 million

5) Beyonce: 37m pure albums sales + 6m other LP + 4m physical single + 164m digital single = 211 million

Dont mind that troll. He's hateful and racist towards Beyoncé ever since she eclipsed his fave :fan:

She did it back in 2013 if you consider ST had only 3 days (600K) sales counted towards it's first week.

Right? The way she could ve easily grabbed that 1M debut if she tried.

She sold 990k in 7 days with an RnB album being a black artist and the folks here are trying it with their BLAND fave :skeleton:

OT: Please dont fall into Swifities bait and viciousness and don't make it another 20 pages a la "Navy VS Swifties".

At this point they're just harrassing the other fanbases just to flash out their fave Spotify numbers since none cares outside their bubble :ace:

She’s not ever gonna be seen as a “real artist” by the majority of ppl, just a product, don’t hate me, it’s just the truth

Can you help me understand why the "not real artist" has had a successful carreer for over 20 years and also just finished what is so far the biggest tour ever by a female artist? I don't think someone who is not "seen as a real artist by the majority of people" like you say would've been able to do that. :gaycatx:

Why do people keep claiming that ST sold close to a million in 7 days? It sold 991k in 10 days thanks to a surprise release gimmick. It wouldn't have cleared 1 million with a standard release we saw this with other Beyonce albums.
