We f*ck and not showing that when it's neccesary is kinda stupid. Yup, and it makes sense to the narrative there. Same as the one in TLOU episode 3, but for each one of those you have ten from Elite and the like. Edited October 27, 2023 by Blue.
Uncatena Posted October 27, 2023 Posted October 27, 2023 we need more hard cock in movies and TV if anything 3 2 4
ninasayers Posted October 27, 2023 Posted October 27, 2023 If a movie or tv show you're watching makes you uncomfortable that's perfectly okay and you can stop watching it, but don't ask for them to change just to appease you. 1 1

Sabrina Carpenter Posted October 27, 2023 Posted October 27, 2023 i’m gen z and i agree my sister was watching Bridgerton last week and every time i looked at the TV the characters are having sex like it’s sooo excessive 1

You can see porn addicts in this very thread getting completely incensed at the idea that sex could be reduced in media. It’s pitiful. 5 2
KFC Posted October 27, 2023 Posted October 27, 2023 Not really on topic but I for one would love to see more platonic relationships in media like, guy/girl friendships exists in real life so why can't a guy and girl be friends on a show without being romantic or hooking up? 3
babyboy1 Posted October 27, 2023 Posted October 27, 2023 Agreed. If mfs want sex on screen, just watch po*n.
Khal Posted October 27, 2023 Posted October 27, 2023 Although I don’t agree, I kinda understand. The currently gen is having sex shoved at them at different angles, you can’t look at a reply on Twitter without some programmed bot post advertising their OF. I see this as an effect of that 1 1
SupremeGoddess Posted October 27, 2023 Posted October 27, 2023 Good. Most TV shows and films don’t portray sex and sexual desire realistically nor do they dwell on both the good and negative aspects of sex. Long are the days were shows like Sex and the City audaciously questioned sexual lifestyles and ideologies Now it’s all for shock factor, there’s no substance to it. It’s like clickbait. And of course some of y’all are already criticizing and complaining and attacking these views as puritans. Get a grip Sex positivity =/= free pass where everything is and should be accepted 2 1
Kimi Posted October 27, 2023 Posted October 27, 2023 Sex in every show is so cringe, it's not interesting and it's not needed.
Totami Legend Posted October 27, 2023 Posted October 27, 2023 (edited) It's not needed because they send nudes to each other / post slutty pics on socials already. Edited October 27, 2023 by Totami Legend 2

Get a grip Sex positivity =/= free pass where everything is and should be accepted and on top of this I would like to say, because this is a major important topic to me personally, growing up with media and other forms of artistic expression, sex can become a problem when not learnt or dwelt with properly and this is not just necessarily a problem from the media we consume (but also parental education and the school systems) but it does play a factor on it and it should be talked about and it should (constructively) criticized. and that’s my option on that
Big Bad Wolf Posted October 27, 2023 Posted October 27, 2023 I don’t care about this But why would they ask anyone under 18 about this? So weird, of course they’re uncomfortable when watching with parents or friends and they’re all going through puberty jfc 1

Vespertine Posted October 27, 2023 Posted October 27, 2023 Why are they quoting a 16 year old in the article though? Like, who cares if literal teenagers don’t want to see romance and sex? That seems normal to me.
burninredhot Posted October 27, 2023 Posted October 27, 2023 Probably cuz p*rn is much more accessible now compared to what millenials had
