She didn't say she was "poor". She said she didn't grew up rich, and from what was posted here about her family past, she's right

yeah, not growing up rich ≠ being poor. she's more about the sentiment the media back then were spreading that her dad was an internet mogul when he was selling domains..

Screaming at how yall consider households with actual jobs, with one parent being a startup entrepreneur and another being an underpaid school teacher with three kids to feed, as “rich” and “wealthy” :deadbanana2: yall are either extremely out of touch or just feeding on food stamp for so long that you hate people who can attempt to feed themselves

I guess depends how we grew up. My parents were immigrants working low-paid contract work, which wasn't always stable. They always wished to make as much as a teacher does, so to them a household with a teacher was rich. A start-up business was unimaginable lol.

I remember reading that her dad was one of the first people who invested on "internet", whatever that means.

There's also the fact that she used to live in a trailer park which to me seemed like a choice rather than a necessity bc I was under the impression her family was wealthy.

They definitely weren't broke though.
