The dumbest thing about this debate is that the explanation is simply that black people just listen to more black artists, same as asian people listen to more asian artists. Obviously doesnt mean that they dont listen to any white artists at all, but overall its no surprise that her main market in the US atleast is white (lets not forget that Taylor is massive in Asia and South America aswell tho)

what? taylor is my fave. she holds quite a significant black fanbase but her general appeal to the black demo is poor compared to beyonce. there's a difference. 

 

taylor is big generally so she's bound to have fans from all around but in terms of general publuc appeal, she falls hard with the black demo. that's not an insult, that's a fact and its fine. taylor is great and i love her and she minds her business.

You guys need to divest from this idea that just because someone says she isn't #1 at something (and in this case, something VERY minuscule), it's considered hate. It's not hate to say Taylor is more popular with white people, she's a white woman whose career started in Nashville, that's like a very simple fact.

And why will she have same appeal as that of Beyoncé? That's a weird comparison to make in the first place.

They are such a rabid fanbase, it is always funny to me, cause their diva is literally on the top of the top, having hits in all the ways possible and they are still mad if someone have an opinion that does not fit in the God complex ideal. i never said asians weren't POC? i literally said she isn't popular in POC communities like mine. you always quote me with aggressive remarks without even properly reading what i've said. i wasn't even being hateful in my comment. my statements still stand anyway. her fanbase is largely made up of white women and asian people, there's nothing wrong with that either. it really comes down to the type of music she makes, and the way she's been marketed. she's hugely popular, and great at what she does, if you feel some type of way about what ethnicity her fans are,  then that's on you.

I don't know why everyone is focusing so much on the racial breakdown when the gender breakdown is more shocking to me. I knew girls love Taylor, but where are the gays, dads, boyfriends, and male Swifties?

Straight men are not going to watch 3 hours concert movie by any artist, including the male artists they stan hard, cmon now 

 

And 18% of film's audience means almost 1 million people. That’s more than any other female artist can drag to theaters
