Vespertine Posted October 15, 2023 Posted October 15, 2023 People who don’t like Her can mostly avoid Her right now. She is doing a lot, but it’s all stuff Her fans consume by choice. Only exception has been when NFL cameras cut to Her repeatedly. During the Red and 1989 eras, She was pretty much inescapable: appearing at every award show, on every talk show, on the cover of every magazine, flaunting Her squad, dating Harry just as 1D was breaking through in the US, then Calvin and Hiddleston drama etc. There were also endless thinkpieces about Her politics (or lack of politics), Her attempts at feminism… it was exhausting if you weren’t a fan. I also think Red and 1989 brought on tons of “fans” who loved the singles and music videos, but weren’t necessarily devoted stans, so they switched quickly when Snakegate happened. Right now She has more fans than ever who engage with Her entire discography. It’s hard to lose people who deeply love 10 of your albums / 200+ songs. 2 1
poki Posted October 16, 2023 Posted October 16, 2023 Because she is giving fans what they want and doesn't go on hiatus.
MadMax12 Posted October 16, 2023 Posted October 16, 2023 She is normal and relatable to the GP and has stayed herself all through her career. She just writes music and never resorts to antics and scandals. There is nothing threatening or polarising about her sound and image and she appeals to everyone, while also having a massive dedicated fanbase. She also has a great team of professionals who keep her driven
Safe&Sound Posted October 16, 2023 Posted October 16, 2023 I feel like she plays the timing right, and it seems far-stretched but I feel like she toned down some releases, like evermore, Fearless TV, and Speak Now TV to make the GP feels like she only releases 1 album each year, but those releases are well-consumed by the fans, which will still give her money, chart success, and stability on number
ATRL Moderator supaspaz Posted October 16, 2023 ATRL Moderator Posted October 16, 2023 It's definitely getting annoying. The backlash will set in soon enough. 2 1
Popboi. Posted October 16, 2023 Posted October 16, 2023 Cause overexposure alone doesn't lead to backlash.

on the line Posted October 16, 2023 Posted October 16, 2023 Bc she gives fan what they want. So novel for a MPG these days.
monologueNacafe Posted October 16, 2023 Posted October 16, 2023 People can choose to tune it out. Like I literally just heard Cruel Summer for the first time while reading this thread. I also don’t know what any Morgan Wallen song sounds like. Everything is so segmented now
vale9001 Posted October 16, 2023 Posted October 16, 2023 1) Cause She Is the rarest modern not industry plant of a pop phenomena. People are choosing her step by step. She reached her first culturally peak after 7-8 years when usually your industry plants faves are already near to nostalgia act after peaking After 2-3 year. 2) her reinvention in music is true. It's not Just producers changing sound for an artist talking always to the same audience. People see her like the person behind the music. When She was country She has a very country audience, then a very mainstream pop audience, the there Is an audience only cared for her folkmore era 3) to the point 1. Her progression on a global scala has been very step by step and slow and not an industry plant (actually some International industria snubbed her even with her pop projects) in the likes of Springsteen, Dylan etc . In the past. So there Is the perception She has a very long career but also in most countries feels fresh and kinda new. All this decade would likely be her "2010s decade in the US" but globally. So yeah incredible 20 years of career and still will grow up internationally for a lor of next years.

Most 40 50 years old didn't Heard a Britney Song back in 2000. They didn't watch MTV or listen to pop radios and that didn't exist. I'm tired of this narrative here (for every artist) music is not massive anymore. Radios still have 100M audiences and artists have 200M listeners on the streaming platforms. If you never heard cruel Summer you Just don't read radios or don't use Tik Tok or Spotify biggest playlist. Something the majority of people makes. IT's anything but segmented. You all are just getting older. young people have inescapable hits like in every era of pop music. Edited October 16, 2023 by vale9001
Polgg48 Posted October 16, 2023 Posted October 16, 2023 she studied and understand how idol k-pop j-pop work process as faking it until making it, when im away from the board for outside walk she never mentioned unless walking by stans casually listen to her or k-pop for more stream numbers purpose. in general, i think of wars ongoing or troye sivan or bad bunny than her
spree Posted October 16, 2023 Posted October 16, 2023 she's definitely overexposed, the comments on social media dictate that. But she doesn't have an annoying personality to turn people totally off. And the music is always dependably good. even when Madonna was going thru backlash after backlash, the music was always top tier. It's not like she was releasing *****, I'm Madonna during Erotica or Bedtime Stories. You can go thru any crisis/overexposure/scandal if the music is still good. plus massive fanbase, of course.
Psyduck Posted October 16, 2023 Posted October 16, 2023 I was amazed that I was hanging out with my straight friends and they brought up the hoopla around her football appearances She is truly a Elvis/MJ/Beatles level global megastar now
