It is one of Beyoncé’s most popular, well known, most enduring and best songs. There’s nothing hilarious about that choice  Stans are really detached from the reality of what songs are actually popular sometimes. Picking a current Beyoncé single for Taylor’s premiere makes 0 sense. Do you expect Beyoncé to play Lavender Haze at the Renaissance premiere? If Beyoncé makes an analogue social media post in the future she will obviously play a song like YBWM or Shake It Off

Yes, it's her most well known song, but it doesn't make it a random ass choice. Taylor Swift is aware of more than just Halo... 

 

I'm not surprised she chose Halo, it just doesn't fit with what she's going for lol. Beyoncé would choose a TV version as Taylor would ensure she does. Probably Blank Space since 1989 TV will be out by then.
