With more than a week until it hits the big screen, the movie has surpassed $100 million globally in advance ticket sales, according to its official distributor AMC Theatres. These revenues encompass all showtimes, locations, and circuits playing “Eras Tour,” not just AMC.

It's already broken the record :deadbanana4: it was previously held by Justin's Never Say Never with $73M ($99M adj. for inflation)

I’m confused - “advanced ticket sales” would be for any of the weeks purchased, right? So why is Variety comparing that 100M total to opening-weekend numbers for films released this year?

Only a percentage of that 100M will be for opening weekend, no?

They're saying that the film is bound for a $100M opening weekend, hence the comparisons. These projections have been floating around long before the record was broken.

A video shot on someone's phone with bad audio and zooming vs... a professional imax film? Are you serious? :skull:

Why would people even pay to go to a tour when they can just watch it on YouTube?
