MonsterJohn Posted October 2, 2023 Posted October 2, 2023 If she release 5 more ads for big pharma then yes Otherwise ******* would still flock to her, she has that kind of chokehold on homosexuals
Kimi Posted October 2, 2023 Posted October 2, 2023 Joker 2 will be one of her biggest career moments ever lol lg7 will have plenty of hype 1 1
Gov Hooka Posted October 2, 2023 Posted October 2, 2023 (edited) I’ll stream if the music is good. Atleast Chromatica had a good 5-7ish songs including one of the best of her career (Alice) and I didn’t mind the remix album. but she’s Def gonna have lower numbers. Ppl don’t really check for her music the way they do for other artists at the same level of fame. Edited October 2, 2023 by Gov Hooka
Virtual_Insanity Posted October 2, 2023 Posted October 2, 2023 Now I am not the biggest Gaga fan but what I will say is that she is a very clever artist and knows how to make the right moves at the right time to benefit and enhance her career. This is basically the complete opposite of Katy, who will literally self sabotage at any opportunity. Take Chromatica for example. Stupid love comes out, debuts high then drops. Gaga realizes Ok i need to do something. Suddenly she has an Ariana Grande collab ready to go which gave her a no 1 single, a Grammy and carried the album to platinum in the US. Chromatica was obviously heavily boosted by ticket bundles, merch bundles, even from Rain on me merch, and she also had an array of jockstraps as well as the streaming units from Rain on me. The 274k was clearly heavily enhanced by all that. On her own name Gaga is probably good for 100k, up to 150k if she has a lot of variants and vinyl in week 1. So, no, I don't see her ever debuting with Smile week numbers and I won't be surprised to see her debut with 200k because she always knows what she needs to do and she is still a big enough name to get big collabs.
babyforlife Posted October 3, 2023 Posted October 3, 2023 with how her streaming stats grow bigger every year, she will easily debut with over 200k. something katy will never experience again...
MadMax12 Posted October 3, 2023 Posted October 3, 2023 If she picks the right lead single, works with better/more established producers, promotes it well and invests in visuals and high budget videos, she will be fine. But I fear she won’t step out her comfort zone in the minimal roll out she has been doing since artpop

Adele's next album no matter what the decline will still open to 3-4x what Gaga's next album will open to. Gaga's next will also see a decline. Everything post-Rain on Me has flopped.

Gaga's Vegas dates have grossed more per show. Rain On Me was her last pop single so I don't get the point of that. Her droplets have all been awards plays, not commercial plays. Love For Sale didn't sell a ton but it won two Grammys and scored major noms for AOTY, ROTY, and SOTY. Hold My Hand was nominated for the Oscar, something Taylor wish she had. Sweet Sounds of Heaven is absolutely going to score some Grammy love, too. Gaga's already rich and is getting even more rich from her startup. She's building up her legacy, not her wallet, with her music career. Stay pressedt. 1 1

Stay pressedt. 911, Hold My Hand, and Sweet Sounds of Heaven say hi. Doesn't matter what format they were released to. They were still new Gaga releases. The droplet I was referring to was Harleys in Hawaii, since this thread is about Smile. It's outstreaming #1 Rain on Me. That's just a fact. Sure Gaga may rack up the awards, but that doesn't mean she is surpassing Adele anytime soon, certainly not in Hot 100/BB 200 points. Do awards even count for anything points-wise in relation to ranking artists of all time?
WhateverYouWant Posted October 4, 2023 Posted October 4, 2023 (edited) I don’t think she will go as low as Smile numbers but it will most likely still be poor numbers imo. Maybe somewhere between 100k-150k if she’s lucky. She really dropped the ball with Chromatica and her recent releases. With the Joker movie being a musical too it could either be a smash or a big flop. Edited October 4, 2023 by WhateverYouWant
besaid Posted October 4, 2023 Posted October 4, 2023 Lol. Joker 2 will be a massive moment culturally and keep her front and center in the public's eye. If she chooses to release around then or soon after it'll do at least as well as Chromatica, maybe even bigger.

Anthinos Posted October 5, 2023 Posted October 5, 2023 I think she will be fine. She should be able to sell over 100k first week and I can see her doing 200k+ with a semi hit. Chromatica was a great album. She has the Joker movie which could be huge and it's clear from her Las Vegas concerts that there is still demand for her. 1

Incl. their last albums. Please. Solo streams Adele - 11.6m Gaga - 6.9m
