I get annoyed with Gaga and her team as much as the next fan, but no that will never happen. She and her team (as a general rule) always seem to know how to open an era. She goes balls to the wall from lead single to album release and it seems after that that's always when her stream blows out and the era goes dry. Depending on music quality, there's no reason why she can't pull Chromatica numbers again. Bear in mind too her next release is more than likely gonna be the Joker soundtrack which she basically confirmed on instagram the other day, and if that gets a lot of hype it will boost LG7. There's no doubt her hype off the back of ASIB helped with Chromatica.

It appears that way. Gaga’s really not that much of a heavy hitter these days. I wouldn’t be surprised if it missed BB entirely.

Just because she hasn't released a pop album in (only) three years doesn't mean that music isn't a priority or she doesn't care about it anymore. She's been working on new music, touring, and shooting a movie. I just don't get why you think or expect that she's going to be releasing new pop music like a factory line and that waiting for it isn't normal. And please stop exaggerating how many products she is selling, for example her latest brand partnership is literally a line of clothing to raise money for the Born This Way foundation, but of course there will be entitled Liddos dragging her if she dares to do anything that isn't dance bops served to them on a silver platter whenever they demand it. She's ALWAYS done brand partnerships and deals since the beginning of her career, like every other celebrity of her stature, it's not a new thing so the constant entitled whining now is very selective.

I wouldn't be surprised. Her side gigs are slowly becoming her main gig and it's clearly alienating a chunk of her fanbase. All we get nowadays is jazz, makeup and kindness.

Obviously not Gaga has a pretty strong fanbase and at the worst case scenario she'll become a legacy act, much like Madonna and Kylie, that always gets big debuts even if the albums aren't exactly smashes

 

She's doing 200k+ easily. Idk on the 2nd week and afterwards but huge debuts are pretty much safe for her
