Exactly.. because that's not what half OR most of the fanbase is complaining about.. it's LG7 and the fvcked up Tour Film again

She's just finished filming a movie and a soundtrack a few months ago and has already worked on more new music. It's been three years since her last pop album, not a decade. The entitlement is too much  She's spent the last decade and a half giving her fans content even throughout all of her health and personal issues. Did you really think that Gaga would be on a never ending conveyer belt of constantly dropping pop albums one after the other for her entire career? That's pretty naive. Please learn and understand that WAITING is a part of being a fan of an artist.

No, it won't. Gaga has a more solid fanbase. Not a Swifties type of fanbase, but a stronger one than Katy has/had. She relied a lot more on the GP beside her fanbase. That alone ensures stronger numbers for Gaga than Smile. I'm not saying it'll debut #1, but it will chart longer than 4 weeks for sure.

Gaga's fanbase is very strong and the fans both casual and hardcore have had it with the posts on Instagram for her makeup (there can only be so many more "Gaga looking stunning in latest Instagram pic!" threads) and are awaiting on the sidelines for new music. The minute news drops about a new single, "Starbucks" promotions to stream that song for a free vanilla bean frappe will be all over Twitter. Her next project will be successful, for sure and I will be in the drive thru with my screenshot ready for that free drink!

I think she will have another strong debut. The gays will definitely come around. Katy’s downfall was truly unprecedented. I think it’s takes a special kind of skill to go from the invincible global chart-topping queen to a complete commercial failure in a few years.

girl if it bothers you that much just unfollow  gaga owns a make-up brand, the promo posts are never going to stop. even during her next era, haus labs posts will continue. paid sponsorships i get can be a little annoying, but i just don't see why it's that big of a deal. It's a VERY BIG DEAL when these pop stars show their true colors.. that they're just here for money money money.. serving their wallets with their capitalists ventures and throw music crumbs evry now and then

Probably not as bad as Smile. Katy was never an album sales kind of queen- they've always been lackluster. it was always about the singles with her.

 

I do think Gaga and her team are asleep at the wheel with her music career. If she doesn't get some fresh blood on her team who can help her carve out a new and interesting path for her music, then I think we will continue to see the decline of her sales.

I genuinely am curious why you would start a thread that you know is going to intentionally anger people, and it is not going to anger people for a good reason. You didn't like Smile. That's fine. You think Katy Perry is over / a loser. That's fine. But why dedicate a whole thread/forum about it, where you are going to get these kinds of replies?: 

 

-Gaga would never! Gaga > Katy Perry 

-My response: Why even start a thread like this? It's a waste of time 

-Katy is better than Gaga!! Gaga will flop. At least she has Teenage Dream! 

 

Out of all the possible Base threads you could create, is this seriously the best and most interesting topic you could come up with? Maybe you need to touch grass or go for a walk. And for the record, I don't "Stan" either artist. I just care about the music-- not some petty, high school-level forum pitting two musicians together, which is pretty misogynistic and a waste of everyone's time.
