No, just irritated.  You can't post anything about anyone other than Taylor on this forum anymore, especially about Beyonce, without like 500 of them flocking in here to make it about Taylor, it's annoying af.

can you name another artist who sent their concert film to theaters with no studios involvement? ill be waiting.

When did I say that anyone else had done that specific deal? The details of the deal don’t really matter or else we have to say Taylor’s copying Beyoncé and every other artist that has the rights to their music by trying to get the rights to hers. Y’all are making no sense for the sake of attempting to discredit Beyoncé for something she’s done before. And a lot of people have done before her. Only swifties constantly try to rewrite history to erase other people from it and pretend she did everything first like that

For those who are not aware the problem with releasing movies in theatres is that the marketing is very costly. That's why Disney releases certain movies only in their streaming platforms.

And I doubt Taylor is going to do great outside of Anglosphere in theatres either.

Concert films have little marketing compared to blockbusters. The Eras Tour for example had pretty much 0 ads or posters. It probably need less than 50 million dollars worldwide to be profitable and it will do more than double that in its US opening week alone.

I think The Eras won't perform as well in countries where she will tour later because of fans not wanting to spoil the experience but it may overperform in places where she won't tour and has a lot of demand like the Phillipines.

They’ll whitewash and rewrite history about anything they get their hands on for that girl very delusional

Taylor isn't the first artist to release a tour film to cinemas. :rip: Please stop. The fact that she struck a deal with AMC is irrelevant, it's just something she had to do because of the circumstances in Hollywood.

!!!! They’re trying to twist it to make it seem like Beyoncé and everyone else who will do a concert film after this is a copycat I cannottttt :ahh:

The biggest cinema markets after North America are China, Japan and the UK. I curious to see if it's getting released in China and how much it will gross there.

Period.

End of discussion until actual details emerge.

Now the stiffties can find a life in the meantime.

China is actually the biggest cinema market now but it has been dominated by local films since the pandemic.

And according to a new report at Puck, the unorthodox deal [Taylor’s deal] that bypasses traditional studios and instead release the film directly in cinemas with AMC Theatres acting as distributor came about only after discussions with traditional distributors, including Universal Pictures, broke down.

…the Swifts are free to put the film on streaming services (the streaming rights are still up for grabs).

Speculation that the unusual deal could lead to similar plays by AMC and other exhibitors to act as distributors for other major concert films has been rampant, and indeed, the Puckreport notes that “AMC is already talking about what other major artists might want a Taylorstyle deal” — suggesting there may be more of these to come.

- Billboard

1. Taylor was unable to get a deal with a production company and streaming service as well. So, the fact, that Swifties are laughing at Bey for not securing a deal when their fave also couldn’t secure one, is comical.

2. The CEO of AMC is approaching other artists with similar deals (like I previously assumably stated), not the other way around. Beyoncé was clearly one of those artists who was approached by the CEO of AMC.

Yet again Swifties were found talking out of their a**.

Can you blame them? This thread was supposed to be about Beyoncé's upcoming film and Swifties derailed them with something that ultimately doesn't matter.

Well, the idea objectively came from Taylor Swift, and Beyoncé just went and copied it, of course it will be brought up. It's not hard to understand why.

Can’t wait to see this! Saw her last week in Houston. The big screen is gonna be a slay

This tour needs a pure tour movie with no documentary moments or additional visuals segments. It is ALREADY epic as it is and should not be cut. Please let there be the 3 hours of show with the Thique/AUIYM/DIL section. If she wants to do a documentary about it then she can make a DVD with a bonus disc.

I want to relive it the same way I saw it in real. And experience THIQUE/AUIYM/DIL in a movie-theater.

I just know she is going to put overly dramatic intermissions of grainy behind the scenes footage with a LQ VoiceOver in this again...

Why can’t both Stan bases be happy that both girls are killing it and the top of their game 25 and 18 years in their careers  ?

but her fanbase really has some of the worst, most unbearably delusional people I've thankfully never met

You type this and say nothing when Swifties STORMED in this thread that is not even about her.

You claim Beyonce is one of your favorites and then basically reduce her to nothing but colorful wigs and shaking her ass on stage.

I don't understand.

Some (not all) of the Swifties in this thread are immature, embarrassing, childish, and annoying.

Actually, Chance The Rapper did this 2021 :gaycat2:

Chance the Rapper has wrapped up a deal with AMC Theatres to have a new concert film, “Magnificent Coloring World,” premiere exclusively on the chain’s screens this

Nothing that basic non singing pogo stick has done is new typical of a yt non-masters owning to copy Black artists

Chance did a limited release for AMC Theaters exclusively in select few locations.

What Taylor did is not only have a nationwide release, but also have AMC make deals with other theater operators in the domestic and international markets. This is the release strategy that Beyoncé is now following, not the one from Chance. And the differences are so significant, that AMC themselves have lauded their Taylor Swift strategy as a new business venture:

Quote

This marks the inaugural step of a new line of business for AMC Entertainment. In addition to exhibiting TAYLOR SWIFT | THE ERAS TOUR concert film at its own theatres, AMC is also acting as the theatrical distributor, securing locations and screens with numerous other movie theatre operators throughout the U.S., Canada, and Mexico
