Is Taylor level of Fame bit concerning?

It isn't.

It's just that social media is here to make us (unnecessarily) more aware of it

it's kind of giving Anti-Christ tbh, but I went to the Eras tour twice. I'm definitely on the list of apocolypse survivors!

At this point I’m convinced that if aliens ever invade Earth, she’ll be the first person they abduct as I just know they’ll want to learn how she took over the world.

I can totally see this :spin:

Yes, but she handles it well

She’s at her peak of fame, success and celeb

I do think she think needs to triple her security team

Some fans were giving Yolanda Saldivar vibes when she was dating Matty, she has some cult fans that are really really scary

She also has haters but her cult extreme fans online are more scary ngl

Could you imagine being a Taylor hater right now? Knowing that every where you go Taylor will be there. Turn on the radio? Taylor is on. Go shopping? Taylor is playing. Go on social media? Taylor is there too.

You guys need to step outside your bubble. Everything is run by algorithms. I have a personal twitter account and a fandom one, in my fandom one I follow some hybrid stans (Harry+Taylor) so I'm fed a bunch of stuff about her in my for you TL but in my personal account I have not seen a single tweet about her in months. I'm not on Swiftie TikTok and I don't have her on my explore page on instagram. It's extremely easy to ignore everything about her. I find out what she's doing more because of ATRL than anything else.

Seeing stuff about Taylor doesn't bother me, but I could completely tune her out at the drop of a hat. Monoculture is dead, pop culture is fragmented. It's why I don't think she'll ever be overexposed again.

That said, she's obviously extremely famous, but I wouldn't say it's concerning. The only part that could turn into concerning is the mobs, everything else is... abormally normal. The tweets in the OP are just memes, like that photo of Selena with the blanket. As long as she keeps security with herself and her fans behave she's gonna be okay. I don't think this is any worse than 1989 era, she actually seems a lot more mentally stable now than back then, she's probably matured.

No, she's able to navigate the fame well and she's flourishing. It's more concerning for the people who want her to fail because she's going nowhere :coffee2:

this. at least she has people around her she can trust unlike Britney`s case.

When you have a strong support from people around you, you can navigate your fame better

And she seems to embrace the her fame lately rather than run away from it.

Just hope that she can do normal things here and there and enjoy her life.

As a fan, i just want her to be happy.

Eh, In the sense of people not paying any mind to things that actually matter, sure, but not in and of itself.

And October hasn’t even arrived yet. I fear for other stanbases:jonny5:

Election year is approaching so she’ll be out the news spotlight soon.

You say that as if “who is Taylor Swift voting for” wasn’t one of the biggest pop culture talking points of 2016.

No, she wanted another 1989 era and she's getting it

Figuratively AND literally at that. :clap3:

If her level of fame becomes unbearable she would just bow out of the spotlight like she did before reputation.

Only in the sense that I don't want her to go through the pain that Britney went through. It's really gotten to that level of publicity I think. But Taylor has a strong support system around her and a much stronger mindset.

For her sake I do hope people forgets a little bit about her in the election cycle

In 2016 she was a hot topic in pop culture but people wanted to paint her like a Trump supporter and white supremacist, all the comments were done with malice and it was post “snake gate” so people hated on her a lot.

She’s in a positive light right now, but people can turn on her again because of the overexposure

Her absolutely INSANE Stan’s is the main reason I’m a “fan” and not a “Stan”. The music (minus Midnights and Lover) is a 9/10.

Her psycho fans in real life who treat her like she’s their “guiding light” are beyond deranged

I’m also more of a fan than a stan

But to be fair(in my experience) I haven’t encountered a psycho swiftie in person, a lot of friends are swifties and are balanced people

The ones online are the ones that give Yolanda Saldivar vibes, mostly on twitter, that’s insane imo, sometimes in the ig comment section. They belong to a mental institution

The swifites in this site are surprisingly balanced compared to the other ones in social media

I never knew that

As long as she’s paying her taxes right, I’m good.

The government needs to regulate the Non-Taylor’s Versions though.

Extreme level of fame actually brought a lot of pain and misery to those who got to experience it and ruined them in the process: think Elvis, MJ, Britney etc

Not comparable. Taylor is chased down for being the golden child as she mostly garners positive press for being successful along with the occasional and unimportant boyfriend "scandal". The people you mention were getting hunted simply for existing.

i mean, yeah. it's not always fun since people like john lennon have been assassinated because of their popularity

Nah, she is just overexposed. She put out 8x the amount of content mixed with new mediaplay every week. From dating Matt Healy to that football player, to a IMAX movie, to 2 re-release album,  a new full album, Ice Spice single, Era’s tour, ect. And that’s all just in the last 12 months. Lmfao

Thank you for this. Obviously, I wouldn't like to jinx it, but I think overexposure isn't as much of a thing these days due to the reasons you mentioned. Hopefully, unlike the 1989 era, the hype will wind down organically as people move on to the next big MPG and not with, well, 2016 v2.

And I know you aren't a fan of Taylor so it's nice to see an anecdote from the "other side" (no offence intended)

They're right though. We didn't "know" Taylor was a Democrat in 2016 but we do now.

Not really, she seems to be feeding it and inviting as much coverage as possible.

Not really, I have no clue what this ranch thing is about. I think most people that aren’t into popculture (which is 99% of the world) know how she is obviously but aren’t obsessed with her to that level

Posted

Yes worrisome. The number of stalkers with the intention of killing her is goin up.
The scrutiny of every moment. The way her fanbase feels highly entitled. Once she takes a break theyre gonna be mad
She lives in a golden cage. Imagino not being able to go anywhere in the planet without gettin mobbed. Not able to go out by yourself
