Digitalism Posted September 27, 2023 Posted September 27, 2023 Does the ongoing tour thing help anyone other than taylor in the streams? I don't think that's a real thing
Gui Blackout Posted September 27, 2023 Posted September 27, 2023 Her streaming numbers have always been extremely poor 1 1

Dear Reader Posted September 27, 2023 Posted September 27, 2023 Doing 3M is not that bad tbh. The album has no SMASH hit, besides Cuff It that went viral on TikTok. It’s doing pretty decent numbers for an act that has debuted 20 years ago!

I don't think that's a real thing Bey is 40 and a female but ultimately It’s dance-pop in the streaming era. It either absolutely passes by the GP altogether (Britney and Ava max) or has good peaks then collapses. Only Dua Lipa is getting good longevity with it, yet ATRL is obsessed with it. ScorpiosGroove Posted September 27, 2023 Posted September 27, 2023 imagine caring how many streams and artist you allegedly don’t like gets embarrassing 5

For reference that's less than half what 2022 Grammy AOTY winner Harry's House is doing. Beyonce previous album Lemonade had already suffered the same fate but that was mainly excused by it not being available on Spotify during its release (I guess all the Tidal user that gave it its record breaking streaming debut just vanished for some reason). Renaissance on the other hand was always on Spotify with its singles being plastered at the top of the most popular playlists and benefiting from viral TikTok trends. In general Beyonce has no tracks doing more than 1 million daily streams on Spotify despite the tour. What do you think Beyonce can do to make her music more relevant to the GP? Despite her being on the biggest tour right now according to reported data Lets file this under /flopthread

In fact her catalogue started losing streams after Renaissance release which is just weird.

Badgalbriel Posted September 27, 2023 Posted September 27, 2023 3 million streams is pretty good though? 1

In fact her catalogue started losing streams after Renaissance release which is just weird. that’s not true either, her catalogue started losing steam around 2019-2020, something that’ll happen when you don’t perform your hits for years, don’t put your music on streaming, release 2 side projects nobody asked for and act like you’re a deceased legacy act she rarely let’s ads use her music, you barely see her hits (other than Single Ladies or Halo which everyone’s tired of) in playlists and you never see one of her deep cuts in playlists either. all of that coupled with her usual shenanigans (only releasing an album under a different name, a kid’s movie soundtrack and a live album during the streaming age), taking your name off of 2 HUGE Coldplay and Frank Ocean hits that are constantly viral, only pushing 2 singles without giving the best songs on your recent album a chance to shine and so on will result in your music not getting the streams it should be getting. all of this is just her playing stupid on purpose, it is what it is 4
babycomeround Posted September 27, 2023 Posted September 27, 2023 Did that 25 years into the game without an ounce of promo. Who else is doing that?
Mr. Duff Posted September 27, 2023 Posted September 27, 2023 Well the album is not that good in my opinion, but I think 3M is great especially now that people consume a lot of old music. Her tour is doing amazing so it's not too bad for Beyonce, she's achieving so much in her 40s! In the long run though I feel like BMS will be a forgotten #1 but Cuff It will probably be a mildly remembered hit like About Damn Time and Made You Look. 1

Shelter Posted September 27, 2023 Posted September 27, 2023 Of course OP is a Swiftie rotten 3 million is fine. Comparing her to Harry, his main fan base is a bunch of teen girls 1 1
Doogle Posted September 27, 2023 Posted September 27, 2023 (edited) She’s like … way past her peak lmao. Her last couple side projects bombed (not Homecoming), she really made no effort with this era and she’s lost footing on streaming. Despite that she’s done decently and no one from her generation is seeing her And the number isn’t even bad. She’s always being compared to newer girls lmao Edited September 27, 2023 by Doogle
