XSuperior Posted September 30, 2023 Posted September 30, 2023 Isn’t that like 1 Billion per year? That’s amazing. Nobody is on Beyoncé’s level tbh she is the closest thing we have to royalty and is the only Michael Jackson level cultural force we have.

Because what else are you trying to achieve by discussing 'Renaissance's underperformance' other than diminishing its reverence and acclaim by equating it's worth & quality to how much she's supposed to sell/be streamed in your head. She's not more discussed than any other big name today, but she is more revered, and that's a result of the outstanding quality of her work and performance. This is where it stings, isn't it? That unlike others she gets all this for how good she is, not for how big she's become You cleared with this.

Why, if we are not discussing plain black-and-white stats like "#1s" or something, does it matter if she was solo or not in the 1990s? She's still from that era of pop. It'd be like saying Diana Ross was not an entity in the 1960s, despite being one of the most iconic and successful singers of that time, just because her solo debut was in 1970. I agree with this. I always think its so dumb how certain stans will try and claim Bey was not from the 90's when she had her voice on all those iconic songs... from the 90s.

Like you know THOSE people have to keep bringing up numbers because of this Edited October 3, 2023 by LustSpell
DoubleRainbow! Posted October 3, 2023 Posted October 3, 2023 this sounds bad just because y'all expect her to be pulling Taylor Swift numbers but in reality, this album isn't as commercial as any of Taylor's
Wicked Posted October 3, 2023 Posted October 3, 2023 I'm beginning to question if y'all actually listen to music to enjoy art or if you just read billboard every week. 1
Orsay Posted October 3, 2023 Posted October 3, 2023 by what standard is this bad..? only if we're comparing her to Swift and thats not really fair, she's in her own league
