even if usher wasn't chosen, miley wouldn't be chosen either since she's too busy being in that cult

I am not personally excited for Usher - but maybe I'll be wrong and he will do well.

I thought J-Lo would be godawful since she always came across as try-hard and 'Madonna-lite' to me but I think she/Shakira have the best halftime show this past decade so I could be wrong about Usher too.

Y’all should really educate yourselves on the ones who came before your faves.

A simple look at Spotify would’ve answered your question.

No :rip:

This was the first mention of it and there's no link or article about it on Variety

I guess he could do it but I would have preferred Miley

Usher is an R&B legend at this point, I don't see why everyone is having a meltdown over this. He has the hits and the performance chops to put on a great show and he will! :marshmallow:

I hope he sings that song that J Lo stole from him.

What? That is SOOOO random. There are literally NO current great modern performers aka people who didnt debut over 25-30 years ago when most of us were in diapers. :deadbanana2: We wont be watching. :doc:

Not @JohnWayneHolland downvoting everyone who clocked them on the first page :rip: Chile, take the L and move on.

Yes! Ush is looong overdue for a headline. He should've gotten it before Timberlake tbh.

edit: anyone complaining about this is a 12 year old goofy. Ush has been killing it in Vegas. He's a top tier performer, has dozens of hits and is a bonafide legend that's still semi-relevant. He ain't bad to look at either. Bring it on.

Don’t y’all White Europeans have a Kim Petras or Ava Max album to stream and gag over? The fumes are getting tired, boring and borderline that word y’all hate so much cause y’all know it’s true.

He's not JUST a R&B legend.

Out of all of the male r&b legends he's had the most impressive run on top 40.

I'm not that excited mainly because I wasn't expecting it but HE DOES DESERVE IT and he will do well.

He has so many hits that he doesn't have to choose his 9 #1 hits. Some of his non #1s > some of his #1s.

That's a good problem to have.

I just wished it happened sooner for him but things happen for a reason so I'm happy for him.

Also that Tinydesk episode is iconic so he stays relevant one way or another.

I'm trying to figure out if he should start off with Yeah! or end off with Yeah!

Other than that, he has so many hits to choose from. I'm sure he'll lean into the top 40 smashes and then get a couple of r&b gems too.

A great choice :clap3: He doesn't need any guests but if he chooses to bring out someone I hope it's Alicia, them performing My Boo would be so good :jonny:
