We are MALE AND BLACK, we don’t get to separate the two because we’re born with the duality of both, without choice. We don’t get to separate ourselves from our race and cosplay as others, whilst taking from another culture and then benefit off of it for centuries. Beyonce and Rihanna are two very rare examples of artists whom transcended the zeitgeist of their white peers. You don’t get to tell us black people how to feel. 5
Katamari Posted September 24, 2023 Posted September 24, 2023 If it wasn’t usher it would have been The Killers vs Imagine Dragons since it’s in Vegas this year ( wait this would have been amazing) not sure why Miley was brought up again her name gets thrown around every year I swear 1
barbiegrande Posted September 24, 2023 Posted September 24, 2023 (edited) If you’re an American from the ages 25-50, you EASILY KNOW five Usher songs. And Gen Z Can be introduced to his music which influenced a lot of modern male artists. He’s the perfect choice for the Superbowl. Edited September 24, 2023 by barbiegrande 3 1

He already paid out millions over this and is being sued for millions more. Just say you're severely pressed and you hate Black artists. Just because they ask an artist, or an artist is considered doesn’t mean there’s a desire to do so on either side. She’s already told us in her recent documentary that she doesn’t even love to tour, what makes these people think that she wants to go on one of the biggest live stages and perform on the Super Bowl? 1

Please if you truly didn't care, you would've ignored this thread and keep it moving. Otherwise what you just said in the second paragraph should've been your actual post.

Doesn’t it make more sense to look at the album tracks, which far outnumber the singles?? Artists release catchy generic radio fodder for success while saving their more artistic and developed songs for their albums typically. That doesn’t mean the basic songs on radio indicate who they are as an artist. Taylor is so much more than Shake It Off. Beyonce is so much more than Single Ladies. Usher is so much more than Yeah! Agree to disagree I guess
