MidnightsAtPeace Posted September 23, 2023 Posted September 23, 2023 being able to tell stories through your music is one hell of a talent, and being a versatile songwriter on top of that??? just pure perfection. imagine being able to write songs like ivy, champagne problems, and peace, but also being able to write catchy pop songs like shake it off or paper rings. not a lot of artists out there can relate. taylor is definitely the most hard-working artist out there right now, and her work ethic cannot be found in the industry very often. she's also a really great human being, and that's what makes her so lovable and relatable to her fanbase and now even the general public. she listens to her fans, meets their expectations, and supports artists and fights for their rights. she's a musician after all, girlie knows what music is and how it works. 1
byzantium Posted September 23, 2023 Posted September 23, 2023 She has such an acute ability to articulate an emotion through music. She is so gifted at taking a complex feeling, event, and story and conveying that through music. 2
Bosque Posted September 23, 2023 Posted September 23, 2023 Aside from many things already mentioned, she’s not afraid to be traditionally feminine, silly and goofy - but still managed to make it to the highest echelon in her field, an honor that’s usually reserved for men, and women who act tough and typically masculine. she also never takes her success granted and works hard to make her fans happy and to improve herself. 2
Happylittlepunk Posted September 23, 2023 Posted September 23, 2023 Taylor is actually a very talented songwriter and storyteller. That’s is something you cannot take away from her ever. Remove all the success and celebrity persona she actually is a talented song writer and musician. even Taylor herself wasn’t a musician I think she would’ve had natural talent as a writer/novelist and would’ve been a brilliant English teacher too with her skills as a writer. She also very Bussiness savvy and Taylor deserves a lot of her success. 1
Cruel Summer Posted September 23, 2023 Posted September 23, 2023 I suppose the first thing to say is that I love her voice. It might not carry with it the strength or agility of the most naturally gifted or technically skilled vocalists, but I prefer it all the same - her tone and the emotions she can convey are beautiful. Many people here have mentioned her songwriting ability. In particular, I want to note that I think it’s amazing to see the way she can take an intensely personal experience and use it to create something universal. Something that so many people can hear parts of their own lives within. All her success could vanish, all the pillars of society could crumble, and every sense of her fame could fade away - and I would still happily put Right Where You Left Me on repeat for eternity. 4
LOTF Posted September 23, 2023 Posted September 23, 2023 It's funny how she convinced her fans that writing her own songs solo meant the songs were automatically good lol I will say, though, Aretha was right and miss Tay has worm some beautiful gowns. 2 1 1
QueenB Posted September 23, 2023 Posted September 23, 2023 Her songwriting is phenomenal and will inspire an entire generation of pop stars, 1989 will be a blueprint for success in 10 years. She also seems very kind 3
Nightingale Posted September 23, 2023 Posted September 23, 2023 Her songwriting, melodies, and ability to craft full quality albums beyond just a few hit singles 3

This. It's like she has no filler in her albums and all of them are perfect A lot people write some good songs and some really bad ones. There's nothing special about it 1 1
XSuperior Posted September 23, 2023 Posted September 23, 2023 Taylor Swift is the best songwriter of her generation, one of the best of all time. 1

It's like she has no filler in her albums and all of them are perfect A lot people write some good songs and some really bad ones. There's nothing special about it I’m sorry but what drew me to Taylor as I entered pop culture was listening to Britney, Rihanna, and Katy’s discographies and realizing outside of their singles their albums were absolute garbage (with some exceptions like In the Zone, Blackout, and maybe Loud) compared to Fearless, Speak Now, and Red where the album cuts (Enchanted, State of Grace, All Too Well) were just as good as the singles, if not better. Taylor was always steps ahead of the pop girls even before she entered the pop field.. at least in my opinion, and the opinions of everyone who has stuck with Taylor to date. So I’d wager it’s not that the songs are “self written so they must be good,” it’s that Taylor was actually making albums that had good songs even outside the singles.. 2

It's her forte, her story-telling is stellar, and relatability despite being arguably the biggest artist of her generation. She encapsulates heartbreak so beautifully in her songs. 1
chiliam Posted September 23, 2023 Posted September 23, 2023 The story telling songwriting, we usually joke about hows she always has a song for every things we face in life but its actually the truth she has always been there for me since 2008, from my highschool days to now in my 30s. 1
Gladiator Posted September 23, 2023 Posted September 23, 2023 (edited) I'd say I'm a Swiftie. I have no idea about her sales, her streams, her touring gross, her chart achievements, or her net worth, nor do I care about any of them. I like her music, particularly songwriting. That's the only reason I become a fan of any artist. Edited September 23, 2023 by Gladiator 1
Sabrina Carpenter Posted September 23, 2023 Posted September 23, 2023 (edited) amazing songwriter and a hard working performer who cares deeply about her fans ever since she debuted her songs has been with me throughout my childhood, my teenage years, and now in my 20s proud to be a fan of hers for a decade and a half Edited September 23, 2023 by Sabrina Carpenter 1
Into The Void Posted September 23, 2023 Posted September 23, 2023 She does have a knack for songwriting which is admirable 1
Klein Posted September 23, 2023 Posted September 23, 2023 I will forever love her for this album. The songwriting (lyrics and melodies) is perfect. The imagery is perfect. The production is perfect. The voice perfectly compliment everything else. Honestly at least one of my favorite albums of all time. 1 1
Arrows Posted September 23, 2023 Posted September 23, 2023 She actually loves and sympathizes with men a lot, contrary to popular belief. 1
kimberly Posted September 23, 2023 Posted September 23, 2023 folklore is one of g.o.a.t. records she is a very smart and business savvy artist legs for days
thetea Posted September 23, 2023 Posted September 23, 2023 wouldn't say i'm a swiftie, but she's great at interacting and forming relationships with her fans. she's a great songwriter, and she knows how to slightly change up her sound without alienating her fanbase.
