Patient Zero Posted September 13, 2023 Posted September 13, 2023 I think she's boring and her music is mediocre at best. But I love to see a woman being this successful.
Starkboy Posted September 13, 2023 Posted September 13, 2023 uhm no not really. her fanbase on the other hand.... 2
LikeaRebel Posted September 13, 2023 Posted September 13, 2023 I don’t really hear/read about her anywhere but Atrl so not really. 1
Phaunzie Posted September 13, 2023 Posted September 13, 2023 No, I have grown indifferent to Taylor Swift, I just like watching Swifties become the Little Monsters they know they are. She could be on every tv screen but she is easily avoidable with a simply click of a mouse.
commander Posted September 13, 2023 Posted September 13, 2023 I only see her on ATRL and when Spotify annoyingly keeps recommending her on the main page.
GraceRandolph Posted September 13, 2023 Posted September 13, 2023 8 hours ago, Redstreak said: Marvel movies have never really gotten any critical acclaim, Taylor does though. Marvel movies have always been popcorn blockbusters but that’s about it, Taylor is known as an albums artist because the music is good. She hasn’t had a non acclaimed album since lover There are MCU movies that have 81+ on metacritic and 90+ on Rotten Tomatoes, and also movies that are BP or Oscar nominated. This just isn’t true. Critical acclaim in the 2010s has become more about PR, which is why TS and Bey have such great scores and Rebecca Black struggled as an indie artist.
CroNich Posted September 13, 2023 Posted September 13, 2023 Yes, even though I’m going to see her next feb
Bubble Tea Posted September 13, 2023 Posted September 13, 2023 I am sick of it but at the same time I'm grateful it's a female pop star dominating and not some dreadful rap guy or something. 1
Fleahive Posted September 13, 2023 Posted September 13, 2023 Yes because she’s boring there’s nothing about her or her artistry that should result in this type of worship. Midnights was so overhyped. The photo shoots did not match the energy of that album. I thought she was going to go off but instead she sings about karma being her cat (facts), drawing a cat eye, and more self victimizing singles. What happened to adult music dominating. Even Hannah Montana deserved more acclaim 2 1
Pop_Data Posted September 14, 2023 Posted September 14, 2023 This thread is designated for “non Swifties” yet the Swifties have invaded this thread challenging the responses. 2 1
Xtripped Posted September 14, 2023 Posted September 14, 2023 I'm not a swiftie by any means but I really enjoy her music and I'm glad she's still serving pop culture and being one of the few A list star that still attends award shows. 2
thetea Posted September 14, 2023 Posted September 14, 2023 no, i like how she constantly releases material. it's just some of her fans that are annoying, online and in real life.

I mean, there's a clear difference between people with rational responses ("no, I only see her on atrl"), and people who claim that Taylor is the blandest popstar and yet they are completely obsessed with her in every thread with essays. Someone has to point out the cognitive dissonance. 2
Outside789 Posted September 14, 2023 Posted September 14, 2023 (edited) She is everywhere because there is big demand for her, as she is in her peak. That is not her fault. Everybody wants to be successful in their field. And she is successful in hers. It is just that simple. Edited September 23, 2023 by Outside789 4
DamianSolo Posted September 14, 2023 Posted September 14, 2023 Actually, no, I quite enjoy her—as a non-Swiftie. I'm into different enough things that keeps me distracted, so I'm probably not even as exposed to her as I'd otherwise be, even for her being such a dominant force and topic. I've always generally enjoyed her. 1
bliaz Posted September 14, 2023 Posted September 14, 2023 Not really. It's entertaining and admirable the passion she has for music, unlike my fav who used to sell music instead of medicine 1
HïFidelity Posted September 14, 2023 Posted September 14, 2023 Nope. Don’t care for her at all, kinda dislike her I guess. But her presence doesn’t bother me in the slightest.
Solar Posted September 14, 2023 Posted September 14, 2023 No bc she deserves it, she’s great at what she does. 1

No no no, don't compare, wait a minute! Don't compare, DON'T COMPARE taylor swift to Beyoncé. Ever. She is not on her level GraceRandolph, she never will be on her level. Do not compare that girl to Beyoncé. When she was getting hailed and scoring 85 on metacritic, even up until after Lemonade's monumental 92, the other girls were still sitting in the mid 70 range. Show me a picture, go on the internet. 1
Avenger Posted September 14, 2023 Posted September 14, 2023 Not at all, I'm pretty sure she's famous with teens. I am in my late 20s and my circle don't listen to her so she has never come up!
Bey'Knight Posted September 14, 2023 Posted September 14, 2023 I still stream her music (since i don’t listen to radio) but yeah, I have to be selective about the threads i choose to engage in cus of her. She’s only over-exposed to me on atrl.
blackoutbritney Posted September 14, 2023 Posted September 14, 2023 Yes but I’m happy for her fans they must be so happy. I’m just a bit tired of her being brought into everything with the stans it puts a bad taste on Taylor’s name
Aramis Posted September 14, 2023 Posted September 14, 2023 I live in a country where she's a non event for +20yo people so I'm okay. 1
FakeInsider Posted September 14, 2023 Posted September 14, 2023 It can get ti ring to see 100 threads about her everyday
