Non-Swifties, are you tired of Taylor being everywhere?

Nope. Much rather her than some random talentless man. Would be happy to see some other girlies get the same level of success, though.

I agree with this. It’s way more exciting when the girls drop new music then it is to see them perform at some award show.

That’s my main point, I wish some of the bigger names who are on hiatus would drop some new music so we’d have more artists to talk about. I love Olivia and SZA but I really really want Rihanna and Gaga back in the public eye. I miss their presence a lot

To be honest im satisfied for 2023. We had the Midnights era still, SOS just came out, Dua, Billie, Nicki had global hits. Ice Spice and NewJeans are new emerging artists i do like.  Also blessed with new albums by Olivia, Doja Cat, Nicki and maybe SZA again in fall.

I do hope 2024 gives us albums by Dua Lipa, Billie Eilish, Lady Gaga, Rihanna and Katy Perry. I really need them to have a big moment again and dominate.

Y’all keep saying this, but TS is probably the blandest female act to dominate the pop game. :deadbanana:

I am interested in pop culture. I follow box office and they are talking about her now, I watch chart recaps and she gets discussed, her relationships are discussed to death in celeb gossip spaces, when I post about Gaga I get Swifties trying to shade her, or Britney/Xtina fans posing as TS fans. It’s gotten to be way too much. Plus the re-recordings are only interesting to those who are at least casual, if not die hard fans.

Yes. I am tired. Tired of watching people stanning mediocrity, tired of seeing her breaking records left and right - which is impressive - but I don't get it.

And also - her fanbase is living in United States of Delusions. It annoys me, when everyone is compared to Swift, for example Olivia - you try to make her look like a flop, but let's be honest - nobody is able to match Taylor numbers. Get a life.

I agree. If you don't like her you should definitely not comment on her. This will reduce the amount of times you see her name mentioned.

It’s so annoying. When Britney was slaying with BOMT other acts were also having imperial eras and breaking records, the electropop boom allowed Gaga and Katy to both have imperial eras simultaneously, which opened the door for Adele’s imperial era, but Taylor’s imperial era is like a self-serving capitalist vacuum which drowns out any other artist.

Her PR machine is one of the most aggressive in the business. Tree Paine doesn’t just publish puff pieces here and there. Whenever a new album comes out there’s a million articles of Easter eggs trying to link TS to other pop culture phenomenon and keep the Swifties engaged or pull casuals into checking it out. Like saying the sexy baby line was a 30 Rock reference or articles talking about every celeb TS interacts with, or every potential feud. It’s gotten to be way too much.

Articles are fine, but let’s not act like TS herself along with Tree Paine aren’t involved in concocting narratives here. These feuds that last multiple album cycles and almost always involve relevant A-list celebs and justify Taylor’s career decisions are very clearly calculated. The Scooter Braun thing leading to a whole re-recording process is her prerogative, but I definitely think the narrative around her “stolen” music is a PR move to convince fans that they MUST fervently support the new versions or they aren’t good fans. I think the Kanye VMA incident laid the groundwork for TS and her whole strategy of coupling a victim narrative with a relevant celeb. We’ve had the Katy Perry narrative, multiple relationships that were either PR relationships or exploited for PR purposes like Hiddleston, and now maybe Kelce? We’ve had the Scooter Braun feud as well the Kimye feud from a few years back, and the All Too Well short film meant to capitalize on the Gyllenhaal fauxlationship which only lasted a few months.

And I still don't understand how any of this is negative. It's the mind of a mastermind :clap3:

No, it is exceedingly easy to just not listen to an artist. I don’t understand why people would want to talk about an artist they claim to be tired of. Couldn’t be me

I don't care about her that much to be tired of it.

You’re a stan. Try to look outside of that view and see how this might get annoying after awhile. I think the narrative around her has become increasingly hyperbolic. The press and commentators can’t just say she is a good songwriter who has a passionate fanbase, they have to call her the Greatest American Storyteller, The Beatles of 2023, and the best performer since Michael Jackson. Like why can’t she just be Taylor Swift, a girl who makes some cute pop songs?

i dont really see stuff about her outside the forum so idc
