Dirty Things is such a bop :WAP::WAP::WAP:

IF YOU WANNA COME, COME THROUGH

ANYWAY YOU LIKE, I'LL DO

BED OR ON THE FLOOR, YOU CHOOSE

I JUST WANNA DO DIRTY THINGS TO YOU

She performed the title track, Something About U and TMLAH at the tour. Wish there was more but unfortunately she did over 30 songs already :skull:

After listening to Problematique and Feed the Beast all the way through, I have to admit, I am becoming like ATRL and switching, which I thought wouldn't happen with Kim, but here we are.

I actually think Feed the Beast is the better album and here's why: the album feels like it never lets up, despite not being the most forward-thinking pop album or the most creative/inventive. You just have Thousand Pieces and Minute that are really the "slow" songs. The other songs actually have a pulse. Yes, Unholy was unnecessarily tacked on, the Problematique tracks feel awkward in the track list, but I actually find myself gravitating towards that album more.

With Problématique, I do like All She Wants, Born Again, Deeper, and Dirty Things, but the other songs are kind of mid, if I am being 100% honest.

That being said, I'm glad we have both.

And if I'm being super honest, I do think Turn Off the Light and Clarity are Kim's best bodies of work.

Anyone else agree with at least one of my takes? Or am I just completely off my rocker?

I came to this conclusion after listening to all of Kim's albums (whether they're compilation albums or full-length LP albums).

I am 100% with you on everything, especially this quoted part. Her peak so far.

My ranking would be:

TOTL = Clarity > Era 1 > Feed The Beast > Problematique > **** Pop

It's been a while since I've heard all Era 1 songs, but I'll listen to them tonight. I like some gay bops when I'm done with work and stoned at my apartment

S-Pop is hard to place. I would probably put S-Pop below Problematique just because I really only care for XXX on the S-Pop EP.

i agree

they really took the highlights off it and tacked them onto feed the beast, where they sound totally out of place.

also, future starts now is the heart and soul of this album and it doesn’t feel complete without it sorry

this lowkey spill

i see why they went with FSN as the lead single. it just gives full french ***** energy. it's also one of her few uplifting songs that aren't corny. it feels fresh and Kim in her full pop star element

My thoughts exactly!

I'm known for flip-flopping on my opinion in regards to music. Obviously, there's albums/singles I've always loved (or always hated, or felt indifferent towards), but with the case of Problematique, I liked it a lot as a 17-track leak (we didn't get Dirty Things). I think neutering the project to 10 tracks (maybe her label only allowed certain tracks-- who knows?), surprisingly, reduced the fun. I think this project works best as a huge French/Europop album. Even with some tracks being more underwhelming than others, I don't know, the 18-track album Kim would've released if she had permission to, just hits differently than the brief 10-track version.

Also, she chose Love Ya Leave Ya, Problematique, and Confession over Your Time to Cry and Dance to Forget, and because Feed the Beast had to be released, Revelations (a great track), Sex Talk (which I find really fun), and Hit it From the Back were robbed of being on Problematique. What a shame.
