Kim Petras - 'Problématique'

I know it's a hot take and I'm probably alone in this but this sucks. The songs feel flat and weak and the productions all sound the same. Turn Off The Light will truly remain her best project.

I tried making up my own sequencing for this with the tracks that ended up on Feed The Beast and Future Starts Now.

No matter what I try, TMLAH doesn't flow well anywhere. :rip:

Dirty Things, Confession

Posted (edited)

Her commitment to the title even after tying herself to Luke blew up in her face and made her look like the Blair White of Pop is made even *worse* knowing Je T'dore is probably the strongest track on here AND could have easily worked as a title track instead of that edgelordy mess. :rip:

glad this finally saw the light of day :WAP: even though I still prefer FTB over this, I feel like this album is more consistent and it doesn't really have any low/skip moments like FTB, but the highs on FTB are way higher

the only track i was kinda meh about it was Treat Me Like a Ho, but u know what? It's fun. The vibe kinda reminds me of Gillette, the Short D*ck Man singer. The 90s, playful and purposefully silly energy. It's not exactly that sexual like the other Slvt Pop tracks so in the end it fits better here.

I actually really like Treat Me Like a Ho, I just don't think it fits on the album. The bass line is sick

Why everyone here hates sex talk when it is better than %80 of this album

No one with a lick of taste hates "Sex Talk." It's why it was plucked and rescued from at-the-time doom to be highlighted and praised on Feed the Beast.

Track number 2. It would be a perfect opener in a world where the title track wouldn’t exist.

I put Your Time to Cry as track 11 and FSN as track 12. The outro works great for the rest of the album and there's something sort of nice, symbolically, about her saying the future starts now after finally being able to put out the project she struggled to get out for so long.

I reworked the track list, personally, but ended up putting Future Starts Now at the very end. It's a cute slot thematically, and also kind of fits since this project predates Feed The Beast, which leans a little more into the dance side of her sound, so it's like a little preview of what comes (came) next.

Je T'Adore is one of her best bops :jamming: so happy it's finally released officially. Kim feeding us with two albums this year :jonnycat: love it

I’m assuming all this shoot was in the FSN era, rite? The last photo is directly coming from FSN shoot.

The FSN shoot is actually part of the album's shoot, she took the pics the same day with Steven Klein and picked one outfit for the single only

I thought of putting as the 1st track but then it would ruin her streak of using the title tracks as the opening ones (sans TOTL) so i just decided to add it as track 11 - bonus track. And works nice as the last with that outro

The whole shoot is amazing, pretty much encapsulates the french vibe.

This is so much better than Feed The Beast it’s not even funny :toofunny3: She should have added uh oh (better than every song on this at least!, one thing FTB did right) and Hit It From the Back to this and scrapped the rest of FTB.

So my guess for spotify debut numbers is 1.2M. FTB with a normal rollout debuted with ~3M IIRC, and that’s including Unholy’s streams.
