They are trying to emphasize her live singing / performance abilities to sell her as a performer so she can sell the tour.

This isn't going to help her sell tour tickets. I think there could have been better use of the money.

There are tons of positive tweets of her rendition of Nicki’s verse so their plan to generate good hype and possible ticket sales is lowkey working

 

I still think Kim needs an epic ballad on her catalog so renditions like these sounds more fitting than her Sex-oriented songs. I loved the performance but her singing the lyrics of Alone looking all serious while an orchestra is playing is so… camp

I literally thought the same when I saw the pictures.

And I wouldn't put it past her because she wants to be a MPG so bad.

She sounds amazing! Not exactly the kind of content I was expecting to get from her 2.5 months after the release of the album, but I'm happily taking it. I wonder what the other songs are gonna be. Lowkey hoping for Uhoh, although I'm not sure how well that one would work.

This version of Alone is lowkey better than the official one
