Honestly, yes. Island Records must have faith on her to do this considering the single has already peaked on streaming. Not to mention that it is a weird case when songs return. At the same time, why this song and not the one gaining attention at this precise moment?

that being said, I think this playlist kinda lost its influence over time, it tended to be more impactful.

 

Selena is #2 and the song is not even in the top50  

It does have an impact but we have this wrong idea that the higher on the playlist, the biggest the hit and that's certainly not true.

 

TTH helps a lot with streams in the long run. There are songs in the lower positions that stay there for months and because of that they accumulate millions of streams. 

 

If that Selena song weren't there it would probably leave the top 200 in a matter of weeks. Songs' streams tend to drop drastically after leaving TTH.
