Cbreezy Posted September 2, 2023 Posted September 2, 2023 Cautiously optimistic. In one regard, it IS risky doing a 2.0. However, who says it even needs to be WAP-sized to be considered a hit? The comparisons will be immediate and slightly unavoidable, but I almost (almost) like how self-aware they are being with this. Cardi was by no means done (at all), but admittedly does needs a "thing" (beyond just being being "back") to jumpstart her campaign. Similarly, Megan also kinda needs a "thing" to jumpstart what is a really important chapter of her journey (i.e. post Tory sentence, possible new deal if her 1501 label drama is legit over). We'll inevitably get the emotionally reflective, "f*ck my haters" tracks in due course, but I actually think it's smart to come on some hot, raunchy, female empowered tip with someone she already has established success with. I get the sense their teams will go all out to ensure it's (at the bare minimum) a moderate hit. It's risky, but seems like it has more potential to be a win-win. 5
Alex Posted September 2, 2023 Posted September 2, 2023 yes a massive push for a good song will get both of them back to where they need to be. WAP will be hard to top though, so they both need to bring their A game, which I think they definitely can!
Rigalo Posted September 2, 2023 Posted September 2, 2023 I would love it but feels like something someone just randomly made up and now people are running with it
