If anything this event will help the movie theater through this strike with all the movies being push back. The movie theaters aren't the ones paying writers and actors though. It's good that they have some material to help them survive while the studios (who do not make money off this concert movie) are pressured into resolving the strikes 2

If you are broke, a loser, ugly, have no friends, poor family life, rotten relationships - all of those things remain true, perhaps even MORE true, by some of y'all latching onto Taylor's success as if it means anything to you. Stanning someone for their artistry, their expressions, what they have to say, sure. But this constant Swiftie droning about numbers and sales and success... Yes, and has no bearing on you ever. Just says she, like some other wicked cretin like Elon or Bezos, is good at hoarding hundreds of millions of dollars that could otherwise be used to vastly improve our planet. Well, it depends if you take this news negatively or positively. For me, Taylor's success is INSPIRING, whether fan or non-fan. Seeing her so successful in her career just drives so much motivation for me to work harder each day so I can be successful in the future too. 7

It was said by literally ONE person, most Swifties have nothing but respect for Madonna and her legacy I know this now It's usually just little monsters holding a grudge against Madge, hiding behind Taylor
NausAllien Posted September 1, 2023 Posted September 1, 2023 I hope she gets blacklisted and indicted for dictating ticket prices. LOCK HER UP!

And as the music industry collapses, she gets bigger, which makes her domination even more shocking. So yeah, she is above "Queen of Pop." She is the Queen and King of not just Pop, but of Music, period. I mean Madonna released a concert doc at her absolute peak before the Erotica backlash - it did decent but unspectacular numbers, grossing $15M in the US. Meanwhile Taylor has Hollywood shaking: https://deadline.com/2023/08/taylor-swift-eras-tour-movie-ticket-presales-box-office-1235533199/ Different times, boo. Madonna broke barriers within forms of entertainment given the status of the industry at that moment. Taylor is doing the same but given the current status of the industry. 3
If U Seek Amy Posted September 1, 2023 Posted September 1, 2023 I’m a Swiftie and this isn’t the win people think it is. Raising prices to that amount has the potential for the industry to push for prices even higher and make going to the movies more expensive. Like great Taylor has another win under her belt, but she’s already going to be a billionaire while I get nothing and might have to pay more because this can possibly become normalized 3

The BTS tickets cost USD 30, many cinemas also have opera showings and those usually cost USD 30-40. These tickets are actually very cheap in comparison just cause she wanted the prices to be cute numbers 1

I'm sure the film will be a huge success, but what's the story here other than the fact that she's possibly breaking the law to inflate her own prices and some execs are upset they didn't know about the release date ahead of time? How is that an accomplishment? Not you rooting for the studios 1 1
