The movie theaters aren't the ones paying writers and actors though. It's good that they have some material to help them survive while the studios (who do not make money off this concert movie) are pressured into resolving the strikes

I’m a Swiftie and this isn’t the win people think it is. Raising prices to that amount has the potential for the industry to push for prices even higher and make going to the movies more expensive. Like great Taylor has another win under her belt, but she’s already going to be a billionaire while I get nothing and might have to pay more because this can possibly become normalized

There are law in place that prevent studios and theaters from raising prices on tickets so what you’re saying won’t happen.

Concert movies have literally always had higher prices. The BTS tickets cost USD 30, many cinemas also have opera showings and those usually cost USD 30-40. These tickets are actually very cheap in comparison just cause she wanted the prices to be cute numbers

Do you notice how it’s none of the people buying the tickets who are concerned by the prices 

 

Like please $20 to watch an almost 3 hour concert in a theater filled with fans is actually not expensive.
