She has literally crashed AMC's website and app :dies: People are complaining that they have to wait in the queve and THEN there are literally no showings for any movies even today because the site is messed up :WAP: QUEEN!

Anyway, definitely in line to get my tickets :duca:

The Exorcist is coming out the same weekend, so probably not. :gaycat6:

There's no way the concert film won't hit #1. The average gross per theater will probably be record breaking and it's getting a wide release. It will be very frontloaded though

Finally some Cruel Summer promo

Taylor will easily pass that :rip: I highly doubt that will be bigger than Taylor's movie

It's wide release but probably limited only like less than 500 theaters.

The international dates are sold out and all of her fanbase have pretty much watched the entire show already via clips on TikTok

For when international fans attend there will be zero element of surprise as we have already seen every aspect of the show

Releasing this movie internationally wouldn’t show fans anything they haven’t already seen so it’s fine

What if Taylord changes the setlist by continent and releases multiple versions of a tour movie :jonny5:

We will see but it's even getting premium screens over Exorcist. And all tickets types are more expensive than usual. It will probably make more than Exorcist final opening weekend with just two days of presales with the current trend.

it's released on the same weekend of the exorcist, of course won't debut #1. The exorcist it's coming for 40-70M debut.

Not sure if she will, she’s very numbers success and I think the box office would have to be separated if she did this

i appreciate she probably said no to crazy numbers offered by streaming platforms so international fans but also casually viewers won't see the show (nothing more than bad quality videos  they alredy saw on tik tok or youtube). Even with an only in the Us release on prime or netflix the internet would soon be full of 4K videos.

copy/paste of my response from the other thread because as soon as she posted this on her IG, my swiftie friends literally reacted how I expected  screaming, crying, calling her mother, etc.:

The Taylgaters took over our nation's parking lots first, next they're coming to scream, cry, throw up, be DONE with Taylor Swift, gag, protect her at all costs and call her mother all over your nearest movie theaters. Fasten your friendship bracelets and catch your final screenings of Barbie and Bottoms, because the Swiftie girlies and gaylies are about to multiply and take over the silver screens until their screams are louder than the atomic bomb in Oppenheimer.

The Eras tour experience™ coming to an IMAX theater near you... soon.  Sounds of screams and "yasss mother!!"s from audience included in cost of ticket purchase price.

I think you're overrating The Exorcist too much. 70M would be huge for that kind of film. M3gan which was a huge hit opened at 30M, Scream VI at 44M, the last Insidious at 31M and these are the biggest horror movies of the year by far.

i said 40-70M, not just 70. And even 40M of course are out of reach for a concert that it's not gonna have more than 1500-2000K theaters.

you should look more to the numbers or things like Halloween remake etc.. horrors will have an appeal to young people but to oldest too cause they are old sagas. First halloween sequel opened to 76M.

Megan and screams are only for young people.

Cute of her thinking that only 1 day will be enough for people to attend to see this film

You can't really compare a film like The Exorcist: The Beginning to Halloween. The Exorcist has an iconic original film but the sequels are all very disliked with the exception of the third and has been away from screens for nearly 20 years. Halloween as a franchise has been much more successful at the box office, Michael Myers is more recognized character, and it was riding the hype of Jamie Lee Curtis and John Carpenter's return to the series.

David Gordon Green directed Halloween 2018 as well as Kills and Ends. He's also the director for the new Exorcist. This new Exorcist is following H2018's same formula of being a direct sequel to the original, and audiences do not care. It's test screenings have been abysmal and it's pre-sales have been extremely light. It is not going to come even close to doing Halloween 2018's box office, especially not when there's a sequel to a much more well known and beloved franchise coming out the following week.

The Exorcist is going to flop because people have a reverence for the original but no interest in sequels, especially not from a writer and director who is coming off a film as wildly divisive as Halloween Ends.

There’s no point in going to the movie theatre to watch this

It will be full of people singing at the top of their voices so you won’t even be able to hear Taylor

Plus I imagine people will crowd in front of the screen like they did at the Billie movie at theatres

They did what now? :deadbanana4:

The presales of the Eras concert film are absolutely insane for just two hours. I think you're really underestimating it.

Miley's Best of Both Worlds 3D concert movie grossed $31M opening weekend on only 683 screen.

We need this to open to at least $40M :jonny5:
