Film Updates got it wrong. The articles is saying total gross could be $150M.

 

Though even as an OTH, but a box office nerd, I don't see how it will only gross $150M with a $100M opening.

It could be very frontloaded even though $50m after first weekend is crazy for a concert film

i think the reason they didn't say the numbers is now clear.

They're gonna reveal it some days before to get the headlines "the biggest tour even in america, you can see on theaters in few days"

True that concert films are very frontloaded, but I think this only being limited engagement 4 weekend event (no weekdays either) should result in very strong weekend holds.

but 100-150M is the trackers prediction so basically it's the same...and as you said the total prediction doesn't make sense.
