But right now her team has a lot of leverage in terms of getting this into more theaters and getting more screens based on how well it’s selling. She is making it a weekend exclusive which I think will actually help her sales and make it feel more like an event.

 

Lets see how it sells in the next 24 hours and throughout the weekend 

Good point. This is why i hope it could have legs and not just be a typical concert film. This is indeed a great alternative for people who never got to experience it live.

This new Exorcist is the start of a new trilogy, which massive studio Universal will be pushing hard to make it a success.

 

Plus exorcist is a bigger and more recognized icon can Taylor worldwide  so if the film ends up with good critic scores for a horror film and word of mouth, it will easily take the top spot given it's advantage of having way more showtimes.

I honestly think she should consider releasing in to theaters WW at this point, i don't see it affecting how many people would want to go to the tour even after seeing the film. Between this and the pre-sales numbers we already have, this is shaping up to EXPLODE previous records made by concert films and i want to see it being as successful as possible

It doesn't need to sell out that instantly honestly. It's not an actual live show, it's a recording of one, so it only draws less attention automatically.

Exactly. And now that The Exorcist's release date has been moved because of how scared they were of Taylor's power, Exorswift will thankfully never be a thing.
