Wait- I had no idea this was out already. It’s a bop a Nelly snapped, don’t see where the hate is coming from?

I think the expectations were huge tbh, but it's still a bop :katie2:

True, also considering the abysmal push it’s getting maybe it’s just a little quick thing and the real smash has yet to come :duca:

Death Jam being useless on streaming as expected but at least they came thru with some cute radio payola I guess (hopefully lasts for more than one day tho)

Think they should've waited a bit on releasing before they got the streaming logistics right and prepped a music video. They thought the noticeable online hype would result in some bigger numbers for sure, but in reality none of the 3 has a legit fanbase to assure em numbers.

The reception is lukewarm, they need to come harder with a 2nd single

Northern Europe (and Canada) always supports Nelly Furtado.

Now we need a TikTok dance to go viral :bird:

First Nelly Furtado single to be sent to US radio since Big Hoops in 2012

No Rhythmic radio though ? I think this should fit that format

even if when this ends up doing nothing commercially it's still pretty great groundwork for Nelly's own releases as it's putting her name back out there regardless (and clearly she needs all the help/buzz she can get) I'm really enjoying the track and wish it had better playlisting so it could get more exposure though, that's what they should've focused on, as mentioned before it's prob not like it would've made it smash but seems a bit silly not to capitalize on their previous collabs (which are still remembered/doing well there) but oh well

Production is the issue here. Drums and bpm are fine but everything else is 1/2 a***d. No build ups, change in keyboards or anything that elevates it. Lazy, flimsy and too many blanks not filled in. Vocals (Nelly sounds better than ever) and hooks are on point enough but when you have lackluster, flat production not backing it all up you get this. It's not a hot mess at all but pity because it DEF had potential.

The more I listen to this the better it gets. They sound great together and I enjoy JT’s verse/outro

i forgot it's out already to listen to this. nelly sounds great on it, honestly i can see some good songs could come out of her exploring a sound like this, it's kind of giving a mixture of her previous timbaland stuff and a bit of ariana.

it's not the greatest song out there and i could have done without jt but it's a cute bop and it's great that nelly's interesting in doing something since she's given us two new tracks after years of silence.
