It depends on whether they give us the actual A-lister X-men in their prime or forcing the D-listers on us 🙄

Also as someone mentioned, success depends on if Rogue has done what needed doing to a certain Marvel lady as well. :fan:

They’re gonna make X-Men very corny I fear. The Fox creatives were willing to go a bit darker and more adult, as well as really make the gay/civil rights metaphors shine. I think Disney will basically turn X-Men into the Avengers, and make Wolverine a lot more comedic.

well, most of the well received x men films so far were by bryan singer, and idk if that's really a gold standard they're looking for

… the setup in this thread. If they do it right then they could be successful. Fox kinda ****** it all up by constantly doing new movies for the X-men and even the fantastic 4 reboot.

I have a strong feeling they will. Which is a shame. I hope I’m proven wrong tbh.

Girl wut🥴

Anyways, Imma need them to cast Dominique Jackson as Storm or Rihanna. Someone that will either bring the gracefulness and aura or beauty and star power that Storm deserves. They've been ruining her legacy ever since they casted Halle Berry, I don't even know any of the actresses casted for Storm that followed Halle.

Singer is obviously a bad dude, but his version of the X-Men was still super influential in creating these superhero team up movies, and the cast was perfect for the most part.

I don’t think Disney would cast a trans actress unfortunately, and Rihanna can’t act.

Yes they are trying to tie the franchise it to MCU and the guy in charge of comics next year hates Storm and doesn’t think she should be omega so all the great comics recently are about to be wasted and retconned.

A front loaded flop

I called it years ago when they acquired the X-Men rights back from Fox that they only did so to eliminate any competition for the Avengers.

Everyone with a semblance of taste knows X-Men has vastly superior stories and characters. Lo and behold about 5 years later, they haven't done anything with X-Men apart from an upcoming Wolverine cameo and a rumoured Magneto cameo in Deadpool 3, and that's only because they're (at last) seeing diminished returns on the throwaway movies of their lame Avengers characters

Okay, but I want the X-Men gorls ONLY. No Iron Man, No Spidey characters and NO ONE from any MCU film or show made before 2024. :giraffe:

Inspired by the 90s show would a dream, a literal dream. But I don't trust Disney to handle it like that. It's gonna be Avenger'd :dancehall2:

i get that they need to make it right but it will be released like in 4 years

Technically, you are correct. The X-men have always been an allegory for (first race issues and then lgbtq+ issues) and marginalized and disenfranchised group. People hated and feared for who were born different from the majority. It’s a part of why I have always enjoyed and followed the series.

Idk. I’m still waiting on an actual house of m/secret wars storyline because bringing the fantastic 4 and X-men into the main storyline without adapting a completely different approach (or god forbid the ultimate storyline because those were a train wreck and a half). Keep the X-men/F4 separate until there’s a reason to combine the two universes. Bring in Mike’s Morales and use it as an excuse to recast some legacy MCU characters or bring back a few.

Um idk if this was a joke , but the actress that plays the adult version of this character would be cool to see as Storm.

No. X-Men is a hugely popular IP. It’s also an IP that has suffered years of mismanagement and people are eagerly waiting for a decent portrayal of X-Men. All Disney has to do is make a better adaption than the previous ones which is a pretty low bar to clear even for current MCU.
