There are people who became MPG for a few short years and stepped down such as Paula Abdul, Cyndi Lauper, Alanis, Kesha, Toni Braxton, etc.

There are MPGs who will always MPGs no matter what, Cher, Madonma, Mariah, Celine, Whitney, Beyonce, Britney, Taylor, Rihanna, Lady Gaga, Adele, Ariana Grande, Adele, etc.

Not sure where to put Xtina and Katy. Maybe the latter group. Billie also needs a bit more time to know where to be put.

All of them,

Katy is already fabulous for a throwback but, her legacy still lives on.

JANET is super iconic that she can flop until infinity and still be regarded as a MPG.

What’s so shocking about Taylor being part of the conversation but Britney isn’t?

Isn’t Taylor objectively one of the biggest artists to ever exist?

I feel like if you’re in, you’re in

Katy fell off, but she’ll always be one of the MPGs of the 2010s

Madonna, Whitney, Taylor, Bey, Rih etc are just legends

I feel like if you grew up with Britney in the late 90s she was probably omnipresent and that image must stick with her fans

However as someone who didn’t really have that I’d say Bey, Rih and Taylor all have a bigger career than her with more longevity and overall success, Britney hasn’t been musically relevant since 2012, 14 years into her career. 17, 18 and 26 years into their careers the other three are arguably more relevant than ever

Pretty much. Same goes for Jennifer Lopez. She’s still a huge celebrity even though her newer music is flopping and she’s still selling out concert tours and residencies.

Madonna

Taylor Swift

Britney Spears

Rihanna

Beyonce

indisputable pop legends who cemented their legacies within their first 15 years. can't think of any other girlies.

It's the nostalgia for them. The music you grew up with will always seem bigger and better than current music for nostalgic people. That's why once you reach adulthood, current music is always bad. Old music good. New music bad.

Hopefully we don’t become like that once we get older :chick3:
