I’ve seen some extremely suspect usage of the word on ATRL and I would love if people could provide their insight. Post some of your favs more debatable “smashes” and let’s decide. Although it’s a huge streaming hit, if something doesn’t go top 5 I have a hard time of calling it a smash. bliaz Posted August 18, 2023 Share Posted August 18, 2023 (edited) I would define a smash as a song known, sung and danced to (if it is not a ballad) by people of all ages all over the country (if it is local) or all over the world or part of it.
