The prosthetic is a bit unnecessary tbh.

But we really needed this outrage for this as well :

So why is he wearing a large nose for young Bernstein? :skull: This is such a pointless interaction.

I hate this trend of cherry picking tweets and calling it cancel culture. Causing this hoopla is just a media tactic to get people talking and drive more clicks to their website. I bet the movie producers are loving it cause it will get the Anti-PC crowd to come see the movie cause they got ragebaited into supporting it.

I don’t think using prosthetics or make-up to make an actor look more like the real-life figure they’re playing is problematic but damn… did they really have to make the nose that big :rip:

He's one of the most overrated actor currently. Some cute above-average acting, but nothing outstanding.

This movie is serving actors ACTING but I wasn’t aware of the gay agenda. Suddenly I’m interested

None of these comparison photos is even the same angle, so it’s hard to even tell if they look alike and it feels like a useless argument to have.

Mess

In side-by-side black-and-white images, an archival photo on the left shows a man in profile. A still from a movie scene shows a man with a larger nose in profile.

Not Bradley's normal nose looking more similar :rip:

Oscar experts have been saying for a long time he is trying to check all the boxes to get a lot of noms with this movie
No artistic merit whatsoever

Leonard Bernstein’s children have defended Bradley Cooper: “It happens to be true that Leonard Bernstein had a nice, big nose. We’re also certain that our dad would have been fine with it.”

Good. Let’s move on now.

Anti-Semitic is too much. It's dangerous throwing those words around. I'm sure this will be a loving and respectful biopic without any "hatred" or "hostility" toward Jews (per the definition of Anti-Semitic).
Still, the prosthetic nose is a little 2002. It's out of touch. Nothing to cancel anyone over, though.

The more prosthetics the more "transformative" it looks for the Oscar campaign.

This. There's a direct correlation between how much an actor transforms their face/body and their odds of an Oscar nom/win. Nicole Kidman, Charlize Theron, Eddie Redmayne, Russell Crowe, Christian Bale, Matthew McConaughey, Hilary Swank...

I didn't know Jewish people are known for their big noses. Is that a thing? Why does the intention behind the prosthetic has to be anything else other than trying to match the real person's appearance?

It didn't help Zoe Saldaña for the Nina movie tho, it also brought her tons of backlash
