Gaga's music aged like fine wine despite false narratives.

OGHs pushed the narrative that Gaga's music had aged horribly for year and years.

In 2023, we can positively say without a doubt, that's not the case at all, it's the opposite.

Stats, cultural impact, and the iconic factor attached to her discography is proof that her music has reached timeless status.

Just to give an example :

Her classics and especially Born This Way album sound timeless. I adore her work from TFM, BTW and ARTPOP, they’ll be fresh for me forever

Eh.

I think most of her discography is very of it's time. Especially the 2008-2013 albums.

The music is good and I wouldn't say it aged bad or aged like wine. For me personally it's more of a throwback.

She has a few hits from her early career that are obviously still remembered but most of her discography after 2010 does sound dated and is completely forgotten.

Take a look at Rain On Me's abysmal streams.

I definitely think a lot of her music sound like a product of it's time, but I don't think that's necessarily a bad thing. It still sounds good and always will :clap3:

ROM is about to reach 1B streams as well, and its current daily streams are on par with hits from the same year. :foxaylove3:

To me this is what aging like fine wine is.

If the music is still pleasant to your ears despite having a distinct production from their specific time, then said music has aged good.

I think it aged like milk. I do love a couple of songs from her first album tho. Like Like it rough and summer boy. The first album is really all that matters for me.

I mean... the rest of the world agrees so I dunno why you're wasting your time trying to convince a bunch of unemployed ATRL members :sistrens:

That is also proven by the fact that thanks to TikTok a some of Gaga's album tracks like Bloody Mary, Monster, Americano and Replay also garnered recognition from the GP

Well they get to downplay Gaga's impact and power within the music industry by doing shady rankings, shady threads etc on a daily basis. We need to remind them Gaga's achievements as well from time to time. :oh:

Her first era is indeed full of classics

The run from Just Dance to The Edge of Glory is honestly flawless, multiple solo classics passing 1 billion streams from the 2000s so the GP is still playing them

it sounds of its time but that doesnt mean it sounds dated. its still great music, but you can easily identify the era it was made :michael: definitely not a bad thing tho

I find her early music sounds extremely dated but it's still good. Her first few albums were a moment.

And I agree.

Music age great If the sound is still good no matter its time and production.

BR & PF are classics so yeah

Artpop didn’t age too well, The Fame has a couple dated songs but the rest of her discog aged pretty well

The Fame, The Fame Monster and Born This Way are the kind of albums that will be looked back on in 25 years or so as monumental contributions to the music industry and to pop culture in general. These are undeniable facts and I don't know why or how anyone could say otherwise.

The Fame Monster and Born This Way have aged like fine wine for the most part, especially the latter. The Fame did age but it's a super good album with classics so it doesn't really matter. ARTPOP aged right away, but I think Venus, G.U.Y, and maybe even the title track are aging great. They could still be released today.

Her early hits, sure. The rest of her discography, no
