god they are SO good, ESPECIALLY Silver Moon. Funny that the instagram stories in June actually *were* a hint to these songs!

Hoping for at least an EP or something before the year ends, i missed her voice

oh I am SO ready for melodrama's sister album, she's going darker this time sonically/lyrically & I love it

In my head, just a girl in the night
And in bed I would still fake a scream of pleasure
But can you see now?
That girl is a woman so call a stretch limousine
For her desires and demons, you don't know what she's seen

ooooh she’s taking it

i wonder who produced these, arghh i hope she registers it soon enough

Idk about these, but premiering them at a live concert is a bit of a choice since the crowd wasn't able to react much. I'll reserve judgment till the full songs are out, but tbh so far they are both giving lesser Melodrama tracks with few noteworthy moments

They sound solid - clearly a retreat about how much a colossal failure Solar Power was, but hopefully, something is coming soon otherwise teasing it at a festival is kinda pointless.

I'mma need to listen to the studio versions to deliberate if I like them or not bc her live voice ain't it, but they do sound interesting so that's good :giraffe:

the SP slander :biblio:

I hoped she would explore new sounds for L4, but I guess another Melodrama would be amazing too  :biblio:

sounds good but is she still on tour :deadbanana2:

They sound so Melodrama coded :jonny5:we won

i honestly think it’s a great idea to test some new tracks live to see how the public will react to it. sounds pretty smart considering how the reaction to solar power was clearly not what she expected

Her stage presence used to be unique when she debuted. Why doesn’t she dance like she’s possessed anymore?

she finished the solar power tour early this year, this is a run of festivals to tease the new era, like she did before Melodrama.

these two songs sound VERY promising :jonny5:

So glad she’s leaving the snooze anthems in the past. These sound like HITS :jonny4:

Give it to me NOW MOTHER

Silver Moon is literally incredible we need some insiders to confirm if it’s coming soon (or Invisible Ink)

this sound just further drives home what an absolute miss solar power was, nobody wanted that shite :deadbanana2:

Her career is very interesting to watch unfold. I have no idea what’s going to happen.

Totally agreed. her live voice is not giving anything except pitchy.

Silver Moon chorus sounds boring.

Omg they're so good, Silver Moon kinda sounds like Flume production. :chick2:

The production at the beginning of the Silver Moon performance reminds me a little bit of the intro to the Talking Heads song "Once in a Lifetime".

Of course she knows David Byrne, so it wouldn't be a surprise if he was an influence or even involved somehow.

We might see some songwriting credits soon perhaps.

If you are searching song publishing databases, it might depend on the co-writer whether she shows up in some databases. In ASCAP, if you search for songwriter 'Yelich' the ASCAP site says she is with APRA PRO, and for some songs, e.g Perfect Places it states:

Total Current ASCAP Share: 0%
There is also a note:

Some or all of the interests in this work have been removed from the ASCAP Repertory except with respect to final written license agreements in effect on the following date(s) (corresponding to each interest referenced above):
01/01/2023

This implies that those writers are no longer represented by ASCAP. You might have better luck on the ARPA AU or NZ sites in a few weeks.
