I grew up not doing it then lived with someone who did it and now I do put it in the fridge.

nope. come to think of it, its a bit sus that ive never seen it go off/grow mold or w/e

Yes because it taste more favorable than just having it on the counter.

ppl acting uppity in here about putting it in the fridge as if they’ve never been to restaurants where the ketchup is literally on the table for days on end.

I’m a server and we don’t refrigerate ours at all :deadbanana: American food products have so many stabilizers and preservatives, it’s quite gross to think about.

I hate ketchup so I don't put in my fridge. I would refrigerate it if I liked it, though.

 

Restaurants go through condiments much quicker than the average household. If y'all don't douse everything you eat in ketchup you probably should keep yours in the fridge, lol. I keep my chili oil and hot sauce in the fridge (per instructions on their packages).

it has a lot of sugar you can't taste it because it balances out the acidity
