Taylor, Gaga, Bey, Rih, Adele - biggest?

Are you sure you are not talking about Rihanna? Cause if Taylor's career was on a downward spiral with 'reputation' with all this…

… then I wonder how you'd describe the status of Rihanna's career the last time she was musically active with a new album:

Less successful than Twenty One Pilots and Adele with no new album? Dozens of unsold-out arenas across the US on your seventh (!) tour, despite affordable tickets, and a half-empty stadium in the UK? :lakitu:

And mind you, this all happened despite Rihanna having 2 albums more than Taylor at the time. So it doesn't look like releasing more albums automatically guarantees you immense success (as we also saw with Drake and Ed Sheeran lately). :bird:

…and still could’ve done more. Including TikTok promo, Easter Egg hunts and using a rent-a-rapper to boost streams. It just wasn’t that serious to her, as it was for the “Picture to Burn” songstress.

Though I understand after the Lover era came and went without even one #1 single, the Twitter campaigns and prayer circles to get a multi week #1 with AH make sense.

You're gonna put a rent-a-rapper on a supposed ballad that's a tribute to someone who died? This isn't S&M or Diamonds where she can just throw another famous person onto it for a quick week at #1 :dies:

Why are you bringing up Picture to Burn?  Are you trying to paint Taylor as a homophobe? Do you really want to get into a moral argument here?

Why are you talking about charting weeks? Midnights spent more weeks at #1 than Rihanna's entire catalog combined and doubled :deadbanana: Lover is also bigger than 6 of Rihanna's 9 eras :dies:

Karma (feat. Ice Spice) is the actual single release of Karma. It was sent to radio stations and is the version that got a music video, unlike the Kanye remix of Diamonds that was thrown together in 10 minutes and is the reason why it went #1 on the Hot 100 :deadbanana: Or the god awful S&M Remix with Britney Spears where they got Britney to jump into a pool and record a verse underwater :deadbanana:

You literally did mention her being a homophobe because you posted a video with the title (Homophobic Version). How old are you?

Diamonds was #1 way before Kanye (another song that is bigger than any Taylor song). Do you ever get tired of lying :rip:

it was also #1 for 4 weeks

Why do you insist on lying?

The Diamonds remix was released with 3 days left in the tracking week the first week it went #1 :deadbanana: It was a last second push to get it to topple that Maroon 5 song that was ginormous on radio. The one that blocked Gangnam Style

I didn't make the video, what in the world? :ahh:The original song is homophobic so of course it will have that in the title so people will know which version they are listening to... isn't that how all of her songs are now? (Ex: Scooter's Version etc)

And okay @ an unknown Kanye remix being responsible for Diamonds success now :toofunny3: I'm glad he was able to save Only Girl, SOS, Rude Boy and Disturbi- oh wait?

I already tried to congratulate you/your fav on getting a multiweek #1 on the Hot 100 after a recent era of failed attempts

I deleted because I was wrong but you are wrong here too, the remix barely even helped it and he isn't credited. It's also not 1 week at #1 like you said.

Karma on the other hand, a panned remix

Where did I say you made a video? Can you not read? I said you posted a video..which is literally in your reply that I quoted :deadbanana:

Why are you talking about multi week #1s on any chart? Rihanna has released EIGHT studio albums and has a total of 1 that has spent multiple weeks at #1. Eight studio albums and a total of 3 weeks at #1 :dies: Like I said before, no one gives a **** about her musically if they have to pay more than $1.29

It is not credited because it did not account for over 50% of the chart points. But that remix sold tens of thousands of copies - and is the reason Diamonds went #1 that week :sorry:

Karma is a panned remix (S&M teas). And yet it still spent longer in the top 10 than Lift Me Up. Thankfully, though, the parent album is more acclaimed than any Rihanna album ever recorded and is a ginormous smash :sistrens:

That's week 1 for diamonds, what about week 2 and 3, and the other weeks where it was #2...

Diamonds is still bigger than any Taylor song every by a large margin.

And cool for Karma (one of the worst songs of all time), what about Carolina or whatever that song is called?

Now, back to reality where Diamonds isn't even bigger than Love Story

Pure Sales

Love Story - 12.3M

Diamonds - 9.1M

Spotify

Love Story - 1.2B (+1.7M daily)

Diamonds - 1.1B (+1M daily)

YouTube

Diamonds - 2.2B

Love Story - 700M (since June 2009)

Why are you mentioning Carolina? Carolina did not receive a video, was not sent to radio and had 0 playlisting. Despite this, it peaked at #60. It's kind of like Sledgehammer by Rihanna, except you know, that song was sent to multiple radio formats, had a music video and did not manage to chart on the Hot 100 at all

How low is your IQ? I mentioned that because you literally posted a video that says "Picture to Burn (Homophobic Version)" in response to me mentioning that Rihanna has children with a man who has shot people, smacked women and committed grand larceny. And that was in your response to saying Taylor dated a racist for publicity. You were trying to drag her on a moral high ground despite the father of Rihanna's children being worse than Matty Healy ever has been :deadbanana:

What does her make up, panties, thongs, plants, clothes, kitchenware, furniture, sneakers, etc. have to do with people not wanting to spend more than $1.29 on her music? She was literally almost bankrupt because of her accountant and how little she was actually getting from her music profits. But that's what happens when you do not write, compose, produce or have ginormous tours

I also used weekly charts, which is the most objective thing you can use. Love story was bigger in the anglosphere where it sold most of its units. Diamonds is undeniably bigger globally, which is what those charts show.
