I just did a quick search on Kworb. Rihanna hasn’t released since 2016. If we were to remove ALL of Taylor’s releases after 1989 (including the rerecords) then their daily album streams would look like this:

And... you don't think it's massively helping Taylor's catalog streams that she released tons of albums in the streaming era + recently released several albums + has an ongoing era + an ongoing tour ? Comparing this to the catalog streams of an artist whose last album dropped 7-8 years ago and barely released any music since then will never be a fair comparison no matter how y'all twist it. Rihanna and Taylor were pulling the same daily streams in 2019, a little over a year after 'Reputation' came out and over 3 years after 'ANTI'.

No if anything the existence of the Taylor's Versions are hurting Red, Fearless and Speak Now streams very hard.

But these are all ‘what if’ scenarios. The reality is is that Taylor is MASSIVELY bigger than Rihanna right now. 
 

It’s not Taylor’s fault that 1989 is so massive and that the success of folklore, the rerecords and now the Eras Tour gave her such a humongous boost with the GP. That’s what you get when you know, actually act like a MUSICIAN instead of abandoning your fans and your craft

Taylor's first tour performances alone gave her a bigger and longer lasting streaming boost than Rihanna experienced post-Super Bowl (who's streams collapsed pretty quickly in the days after whereas Taylor's kept getting bigger), so no Swiftie was triggered by Rihanna's one-day Spotify reign after performing to 100M people, I can assure you that.

"Almost" means it still failed to dethrone Taylor dear 

Rihanna's comeback solo single after 7 years, with major playlisting push, multiple video uploads, different cover versions and one of the largest radio deals in recent history is more than just a cute lil lullaby. It got the same push and promo as Taylor's pop lead single and still failed to topple it in its second week. No fanbase whose fave is #1 on the charts would get triggered by someone who's #2, so I fear the call is coming from inside the house…

Dua was nowhere mentioned in this thread so I don’t see why you have to bring her up. Isn't your fave Dua releasing music though? Focus on that, weirdly lashing out against Rih and the navy because she hasn't dropped new music whilst you should be focusing on Dua Lipo like get a grip

It’s not lashing out it’s pointing out how acting like a musician gets you rewarded. I think I’m allowed to be frustrated with Rihanna for consistently teasing new music but never dropping it. Don’t act like you haven’t been disappointed with her atleast once. It’s normal.
