If it's only Gaga as well that's been there too then that says more about international acts than it does the country. Rude Boy being in that article invalidates the entire thing  There were ZERO Rude Boy soundalikes after it smashed. In fact, Rude Boy's parent album did so terribly that her label threw her back in the studio to record some Stargate dance pop leftovers because dance pop was the dominant genre at the time   She then went on to release multiple dance pop singles and left that sound to rot because dance was the dominant pop trend
