Jay L Posted August 19, 2023 Posted August 19, 2023 I'm surprised by the mixed reactions tbh. This is classic Tinashe a full vibe and a bop. Very catchy. Loving this and Talk To Me Nice. I just know this album is going to excellent and my favorite from her if she keeps this energy
Nashe Posted August 20, 2023 Posted August 20, 2023 hmm, I gotta admit this song was a mistake considering the reception to it is very subpar and the streams are even lower than for TTMN. They obviously hoped for a bit of social media attention with the music video and the song's vibe, but not even that happened. I'd rather she went for quality and artistry, even tho the song is a whole bop. Though I guess we already got enough Saweeties, Lattos & etc. who cover the thotty r&b space. 1
costlyxo Posted August 21, 2023 Posted August 21, 2023 Tinashe always finds a way to shatter expectations so this is kind of a weird mis-step for her. The video and choreo is still more impressive than what most other R&B singers end up doing. Her only competition is herself but it doesn't really hold up compared to her own work . I hope there's a plan for a remix, so it could stay released as a single and technically "not on the album" since there's no features on it. My absolute favorite part is the verse and the song just needs an extra one since it's genuinely fun and interesting. The chorus is fine but if it was released by any artist I casually follow I would not bother to listen multiple times. I didn't know how to type all that without sounding super whiney. I am always excited to get fed and I trust she'll deliver later this era.
AndresVanDeKamp Posted August 21, 2023 Posted August 21, 2023 I love both tracks. Hoping it will all come together when the full project drops but she really never disappoints. Even some of the Nashe tracks she dropped like Rascal and Throw a Fit I still listen to on the regular. She can’t put out a bad project because she just makes great songs.
politeone Posted August 21, 2023 Posted August 21, 2023 MV is fun, but without that context this is should just be a promo song
DuffStan Posted August 21, 2023 Posted August 21, 2023 She could relegate it to buzz single if she wants to, but I trust her vision and I know we'll enjoy the song even more as part of the album
Power love Posted August 21, 2023 Posted August 21, 2023 This whole era so far is concerning compared to 333 & Songs for you. I’m staying positive but this feels like 3 steps backwards. Like this era should have came after Joyride! 1 1
Alex Posted August 21, 2023 Posted August 21, 2023 no like this song is really good, you just have to let it click
TYMPS Posted August 21, 2023 Posted August 21, 2023 A full on bop, I loovvvve how laid back T is this era The music sounds effortless in the best way
slimfem Posted August 22, 2023 Posted August 22, 2023 Love this so much! Easily her best song since like 2016 imo. Love the vocal effects on the verse and the bass is so yummy too. An all around vibe. 2
Cloudy Posted August 22, 2023 Posted August 22, 2023 She's 2/2 for me. This was a bop from the very first listen 1
Guy12345 Posted August 22, 2023 Posted August 22, 2023 (edited) This song is refusing to leave my brain. absolute banger. hope she'll see some success with this one. Edited August 22, 2023 by Guy12345 2
Rigalo Posted August 22, 2023 Posted August 22, 2023 I love this and the music video made it better. It does sound a little tinashe’d in 2023 but
PMM Posted August 22, 2023 Posted August 22, 2023 Hands on my knees they ain't never seen moves like these

monologueNacafe Posted August 22, 2023 Posted August 22, 2023 Song is good. It connected instantly for me (the first song didnt)
Flocon Posted August 22, 2023 Posted August 22, 2023 Always been supporting her, but nothings clicks for this era at the moment. Video is fun though (but I couldn't think of the employees working at the supermarket the next morning while she danced between the meat and throw stuff on the ground lol)
