motomami Posted September 21, 2023 Posted September 21, 2023 I have loved Chappell since early 2020, and I am SO excited to finally see this album come out I hope she gets the tens she deserves for this amazing work 2
crymelanie Posted September 21, 2023 Posted September 21, 2023 In love with this album also ''coffee'' shines very boldly from unreleased tracks
AlexLockhart Posted September 22, 2023 Posted September 22, 2023 oh my good this is soo good. new songs are all bangers. like, this is probably strongest debut of the year 16 hours ago, motomami said: I have loved Chappell since early 2020, and I am SO excited to finally see this album come out I hope she gets the tens she deserves for this amazing work this is also so pleasing to see how big she's getting. Chappell is becoming next big pop girl so I hope people won't sleep on her with this album. she's serving diversity and individuality with every song I discovered her music back in 2017 not knowing at all that she was only one year older than me she had soulful folk-pop ballads with acoustic guitar and piano. Years later I wondered what happened to her, because her voice was truly magical, and what a surprise I was to learn that her songs had gone towards full-fledged pop music with catchy melodies, naive but sweet lyrics of her own writing, with high-quality arrangements. that was really a GLOW UP 2
retrophysical22 Posted September 22, 2023 Posted September 22, 2023 The album is immaculate. So proud of Chappell. She really did that. 1

I wouldn't say the EP is horrible, but the voice is low-key embarrassing and the sound is just sooooo unoriginal. It's hard to listen to now tbh but she needed to find herself, for sure She's similar to Olivia but soooo substantially more interesting and authentic. Olivia is trying to fit a mood unlike Chappell. Wish she had the success instead 1
atrlxcx Posted September 22, 2023 Posted September 22, 2023 So excited this is finally out I loved every single pre-album so excited to listen to this as a complete project
TrueBlood Posted September 22, 2023 Posted September 22, 2023 Spotify recommended me her, and wow, this is an amazing debut album. 1
beckyswift Posted September 22, 2023 Posted September 22, 2023 god THIS is a debut album - i don’t think i’ve felt this excited about a debut since sawayama. this music just feels so distinctly her - it’s so rare to have that kind of unique imprint on a first album. her hooks are immaculate. her lyrics are always very evocative and range from emotional to hysterical. her vocals are sooooo impressive. and the production is so interesting! immediately one of the best albums released this year. 2
Dante Silva Posted September 22, 2023 Posted September 22, 2023 I love it, it’s a perfect Pop album. It’s interesting to me that the producer behind this is the same producer that is behind Olivia Rodrigo. I definitely feel the production is more fun and sparkly on this album (as opposed to either of Olivia’s, which sound a little more strict and samey). 1 1

Yea this album has such personality, which Olivia lacks of course Super Graphic is the ONE. I'm so glad she saved it for the album - has me absolutely shook. This album is so GAY and fun - I'm in love. Naked and Super are definitely and easily my top 2. Probably Femininomenon probably 3. Also, justice for Love Me Anyway 1

Kinich Posted September 23, 2023 Posted September 23, 2023 I think Super Graphic Ultra Modern Girl is my fave from the new songs but yes I love this album, a really great debut! 2
pinkbowvintage Posted September 23, 2023 Posted September 23, 2023 Literally just discovered her, like many, and I'm OBSESSED. WOW. The video for Super Graphic Ultra Modern Girl was enough to make me an instant stan. I hope she has a big career ahead of her because she's got IT. 1
ahauntingnearu Posted September 23, 2023 Posted September 23, 2023 Sooooo happy to see the nonstop praise and new fans she's getting!
ATRL Moderator Unoriginal Posted September 23, 2023 ATRL Moderator Posted September 23, 2023 i don't think it benefitted from 9 songs being singles (and 2 of the 5 new ones being ballads) but a really good album nonetheless with some nice surprises from the album tracks (SGUMG!)
Jaimon Posted September 23, 2023 Posted September 23, 2023 Hello, this album is amazing! thank you YouTube algorithm for this discovery.
pinkbowvintage Posted September 23, 2023 Posted September 23, 2023 Been bumping this flawless pop album all day.
Obsession Posted September 24, 2023 Posted September 24, 2023 I keep going between her and Slayyyter, we're blessed to have two really amazing pop projects come out during the same week
BonniemcChicken Posted September 24, 2023 Posted September 24, 2023 i love the album so much. i haven't loved music like this is so long. it makes me feel something i can't describe i haven't felt in atleast 10 years. I love every single song. not 1 song i don't like. i'm not sure my fave yet. SGUMG is a bop and she sounds great. After Midnight is amazing. Coffee really hit me in a way i didn't expect it to after hearing the live version. i'm excited to spend more time listening to this.
smoore95GAGA Posted September 24, 2023 Posted September 24, 2023 A friend of mine recommended MKIK last year and I loved it, was so glad to hear she was putting an album out and it doesn’t disappoint! I had only heard MKIK going into it, so it was such an amazing experience getting to hear it as a full album and not a collection of singles (seriously tho, why did she release 80% of this as singles ). Anyways, I loved Guts but this might top it for me!
SitarHero Posted September 24, 2023 Posted September 24, 2023 It's so good! I'm listening in my own order bc it's super weird to have Coffee as the 4th track and Guilty Pleasure as a closer, but it doesn't hurt it that much Spoiler Femininomenon Super Graphic Ultra Modern Girl Naked in Manhattan HOT TO GO! Red Wine Supernova Guilty Pleasure Picture You Kaleidoscope Coffee Casual My Kink is Karma After Midnight California Pink Pony Club

kandicha Posted September 24, 2023 Posted September 24, 2023 I had never listened to Chappell Roan before but I listened to the album after seeing the thread here and it’s so good. Just so fun and fresh and at times emotional, and bop after bop! I see big things in her future
