Nicki's name is credited as lead, unlike PD which was a feature.

I don't agree. Nicki could've released this with no feature and it still would've been a hit. She has an insane following in general and tbh the black community strongly supports and adores her. She will have a career that remains relevant even when she's older.

“Monster of a hit” is an exaggeration. It did well, but its total streams and recurrent streams are not that impressive. Especially for a Dr Luke produced made-for-Tiktok hit  

 

We’ll have to see about the album because doing well with a pop-adjacent tiktok song and a soundtrack for one of the biggest movies of the year (both of which use a very recognizable sample) is not indicative of her making a good rap album. Maybe she’ll be able to make a classic rap album this time and catch up to all her peers

Her longevity is very impressive, credit where credit is due. Y'all can scream all the excuses y'all want, just because her success is not exactly ''effortless'' or 100% organic!!11 (this almost never happens and mostly does when someone is relatively unknown to the GP) doesn't mean it's not valid.
