ToraeGilt Posted August 4, 2023 Posted August 4, 2023 I love the song but it’s definitely not lead single material. The viral snippet with the “la la la” would’ve done more damage but still a great song nonetheless 1
Adama Posted August 4, 2023 Posted August 4, 2023 (edited) She sounds so good but idk if the song have replay values for me! hope that she will promote it (and the inexistant budget for the mv ) Edited August 4, 2023 by Adama 1
99sandthe2000s Posted August 4, 2023 Posted August 4, 2023 Lovely and ethereal tune that belongs in a movie and is a good transition from TLM and CxH. Honestly I'm not likely to play it again but I did enjoy it and I hope it's received well. I think she'll perform it well live and I'm excited to see that. I was initially annoyed at people dictating what a debut single should be especially for artists that aren't mainstream pop acts and lean towards an alternative r&b sound. It's certainly a unique choice for a debut but not an unpleasant one and it's a soft launch to her debut before her first EP or LP. 1
lovely88 Posted August 4, 2023 Posted August 4, 2023 I also think it’s a good choice for a debut single it introduces everyone to her solo artistry. I’m not sure what people were really expecting. 1
nooniebao Posted August 4, 2023 Posted August 4, 2023 Shockingly soft playlist support. This isn’t getting the initial Have Mercy promo push on streaming/radio from what I can tell.

IsidoraMarí Posted August 4, 2023 Posted August 4, 2023 This seems like the song she needed to make after the LM race backlash. This is the reason she took the all the angry comments, to let little girls like her know that Everyone know that they are angels. The second verse keeps it current but this song has a classic sound to it. So proud 5
Automatic Posted August 4, 2023 Posted August 4, 2023 Gorgeous vocals but yeah, I probably won't be replaying it too much. 1
monologueNacafe Posted August 4, 2023 Posted August 4, 2023 It’s good but it doesn’t have much replay value for me. I would’ve preferred this be an album track
liquiddiamonds Posted August 4, 2023 Posted August 4, 2023 She sounds beautiful, heavenly even, which fits a song called Angel, but the production is off. It would sound more heartfelt stripped down like Chloe’s In Pieces song. The beat and other elements felt distracting and didn’t add to the melody and her vocal performance
Acuminatus Posted August 4, 2023 Posted August 4, 2023 What gorgeous vocals, thank you Halle for this song!
Dula Peep Posted August 4, 2023 Posted August 4, 2023 It’s nice and she sounds great but yeah not single material
NordicGuy Posted August 4, 2023 Posted August 4, 2023 Love everything about this song. Never listened to CxH but I know I'll be here for her solo career. Her voice is out of this world.
emile20 Posted August 4, 2023 Posted August 4, 2023 (edited) In love with this, didn't expect a ballad but the visuals and tempo picks up and it is excellent Edited August 4, 2023 by emile20
