Barbie is literraly everywhere. Eras tour is sucessful but nowhere near as impactful as Barbie - even the straights are perched

Barbie for all

Eras Tour for both questions. Idk Barbie and glad my country is censuring that 9 dash line. Plus Avengers End game and Avatar felt like a bigger event than this petty movie with trash soundtrack. If this Barbie can't outgross Avengers and Avatar, then this will not be remembered in the future while Eras Tour will be remembered as the highest grossing tour and first billion tour :celestial5:

No one in the GP cares about how much moneys tours make.

That has nothing to do with the tour. That was about Taylor posts being promoted when she first joined TikTok. This is the exact quote:

"We do promote content like the World Cup or when Taylor Swift joined, and at times boost it beyond the rating it would have ordinarily received from the recommendation system, much like Netflix promotes a featured video or movie on the homepage," Jeff Louisma, head of cyber and data defense for TikTok's US Data Security division, told SXSW attendees.

The vast majority of viral material about the Eras Tour is user made. It has no particular promo.

A kii if The Eras Tour generates more revenue than Barbie :WAP:

Obviously Barbie.  :rip: Barbie/Barbenheimer has been inescapable and Mattel has a boatload of other projects in the works because of how well Barbie's doing.

Taylor's is just a successful tour.

Comparing a tour to a movie is just weird :deadbanana2:

"Barbie won't be talked about outside the opening weekend + maybe the week after. By the end of the year it will be the biggest female tour ever, and next year the biggest tour of all time. Barbie can enjoy the biggest opening of 2023 (so far) though."

You based your initial argument on gross I'm sorry to tell you but a tour does in fact end. The Eras tour is happening right now, it is a big event and is being attended by hundreds of thousands and eventually several million people but the tour will end. When the tour ends there will probably be a tour film sure, but it won't have nearly the same demand as a genuine blockbuster does. The highest grossing tour film is Never Say Never with 99,034,125 worldwide if Taylor released a tour film I could see her beat that but still nowhere near a blockbuster.

Barbie will continue to sell physicals, make a big splash on streaming and continue to be seen by millions in the coming years. Its impact on the movie industry alone this decade will be one to watch for. I am sorry to tell you but attendance is a valid metric of measuring impact, if Taylor tickets were suddenly 10 dollars cheap her tour still wouldn't be attended by as many people as Barbie. There is a limit to the capacity that a tour can generate, sure you can fill out stadiums but you cannot continue on to do so eternally, demand isn't infinite. Like I said even if Taylor did this tour x10 even it still wouldn't generate nearly the same amount of people as an actual movie does.

Eras Tour will be the biggest tour ever and in that area she is most definitely breaking records and setting a new impact for what a tour can do but at the end of the day a tour is not in the same league as a film and it never will be.

I brought up tour gross to illustrate how well it's doing compared to all time competition. Barbie will never do that well compared even to the movies released in recent years.

This has nothing to do with demand but availability.

You can play the movie to 1 million people in theaters in a city but you can't make Taylor play +10 shows in Boston and every other big US city even if she has the demand because... she is not a robot.

She had 14M people trying to buy tickets in the US in pre-sale only and that was with her playing in only 20 stadiums in 20 cities when you can watch movies in +2000 theaters

Don't expect that fanbase to actually care about facts - all they want is quick kii kiis because they're so bothered by Taylor's domination :deadbanana2:

OT: Again, this is a dumb comparison...

And yet you’re the one disliking all my posts and reporting them, as seen above. Who’s bothered now :rip:

Girl wha- I didn't report anything :priceless: The upvote/downvote system exists to express what you agree and disagree with. I don't "dislike all your posts", nor do I target you personally. I dislike posts containing wrong opinions, bad lies and excuses (often out of spite) about Taylor and her success. If you think it's "all your posts", that speaks more about you than me sis :priceless:

Sure jan indeed. Imagine always barging in threads about Taylor's tour, always being wrong and negative, and then complaining about getting downvoted by Swifties. Couldn't be me! :hippo:

So it is still incomparable to a big movie like Barbie. That 14m still only matches Barbie's opening weekend not the entire gross.

If she did more dates they would just fill out with the rest of that 14m not extra We can assume that 14m is the entire potential audience that wanted a Taylor ticket.

I'm sorry but to claim that Taylor would fill out more than 39m if she had the opportunity to is ridiculous. There is an limit to the demand of touring. Venue capacity has a cap and she has a set amount of dates because that is what they estimate she can sell out comfortably.

A tour cannot match what a juggernaut movie can do. Even if she did x10 the amount of dates worldwide she still wouldn't match Barbie attendance with the tour.
