I hope they come through for the next single The playlisting is pretty decent for a song which has little "hit" potential. The song is okay, but this time around she should've released something more conventional.

At least she isn't stuck on releasing corny, cheerleader-type "go team go!" songs or painfully dated pop songs which not even her fans care enough to buy or stream unlike the person you quoted's fave. They just stan for her marriage of course. 2
Nashe Posted July 21, 2023 Posted July 21, 2023 Concept of identity is the theme of the new album / era. 1
Stellar1103 Posted July 21, 2023 Posted July 21, 2023 She delivered!!!! Definitely sounds like a track from Nightride (my favorite Nashe album). 2
Patient Zero Posted July 21, 2023 Posted July 21, 2023 She never misses The second half is so Tinashe 1
Rafael Posted July 21, 2023 Posted July 21, 2023 Did she revamp "Hopeless" for the second half of Talk To Me Nice? . They are similar to me:
Jay L Posted July 21, 2023 Posted July 21, 2023 I like this a lot not the big bop I was hoping for but this is definitely a quality song and has my attention for this era. Happy to see this on R&B playlists on Spotify I like to use. 2
Popular Post popularmoonlight Posted July 21, 2023 Popular Post Posted July 21, 2023 Everytime some people come here saying "they don't think this is lead single material" I honestly just sigh because y'all really think there's such thing as """"lead single material""" in this day and age. A lead single is supposed to represent whatever the artist in that moment, and this perfectly shows that. It's an incredible lead single for Tinashe and the album that is coming. What else would you want her to release? a generic pop song to appeal to people who don't even listen to her? lols This is truly good. A great song. 16 1
qurl Posted July 21, 2023 Posted July 21, 2023 i think she’s at peace with the fact that she is likely never going to be the caliber of star that she is obviously deserving of , and that’s why she knocked it out of the f*cking park with Songs For You and 333 …. i think she’s tried (and succeeded) to free herself from the pressure of being some insanely marketable pop star , and what she’s created in the wake of that realization is some of my most cherished music that i still keep on repeat this song is no exception …. another stellar drop from miss Nashe …. God i love her so much 14
kishi Posted July 21, 2023 Posted July 21, 2023 It is OK that Tinashe didn't release a "banger". She doesn't have one sound and she'll continue to explore it on her terms. At some point you will have to accept that. Yes, I want her to have success. But I don't measure it based on everyone else's trajectory in the mainstream. Let the music do what it can! 1
davorincekk Posted July 21, 2023 Posted July 21, 2023 She put something in this song.. Like its so, well presented. The second part of the song is better it just keeps getting better. What songs/albums from her should I get into if I like this kind of sound? More vibey and not to pop 1
4Walls Posted July 21, 2023 Posted July 21, 2023 This is beyond good. At first I was like hmmm but when it hits it really hits. Endless replay value 1
rockwitu08 Posted July 21, 2023 Posted July 21, 2023 Tinashe has never done what is expected of her as an artist from the general public so why would she do something different this time around? She is not the type of artist that makes music simply for awards and billboard success. If she’s still selling out tours, giving us material literally every year since Joyride AND collecting a cute check at the end of the day, I’m satisfied as a fan. The song is such an exciting sound for her. It sounds like she’s elevating her mixtape sound while doing something new. That new album is gonna SLAP 🙏🏽 2

More vibey and not to pop Look up her 4 mixtapes - In Case We Die - Reverie - Black Water (personal fav) - Amethyst Each mixtape is very vibey. She didn’t start doing a pop sound till her debut. Her first album “Aquarius” has some amazing vibey moments but also some pop moments. Second album “Nightride” is straight vibes, not much pop on it at all. “Joyride” is her most pop imo, a couple vibey moments. “Songs For You” is a genre gumbo so you’ll def find something there. Same thing with “333” Edited July 21, 2023 by rockwitu08 1

I would say her mixtapes, specifically black water and amethyst , but I think some of her mixtape material is very niche and might not click with a lot of casual listeners. try nightride and then the amethyst mixtape.
loudliyah Posted July 21, 2023 Posted July 21, 2023 I like this! Reminds me of nightride which is my favorite project from her 1

NEX Posted July 21, 2023 Posted July 21, 2023 Started a bit flat, but picked up really nicely towards the middle 2
Indie Go Mind Posted July 22, 2023 Posted July 22, 2023 (edited) I guess this more or less confirms that BB/ANG3L is the album name Edited July 22, 2023 by Indie Go Mind
liquiddiamonds Posted July 22, 2023 Posted July 22, 2023 She SNAPPED. Beautifully subdued and daring production
