I’m going to pretend that I didn't read that story for peace of mind about her new situation :katie2:

Boring.

she tries so hard to be edgy and experimental but it doesn’t come across genuine. It’s like she’s stuck in this “let me please my mixtape fans” bubble and can’t get out. That sound is so tired and boring. Her fans are stuck in it too. All 40 of y’all.

just listened to it several times but im kinda conflicted. i dont really think it’s bad but it could’ve been better or a bit more substantial. It’s not really giving lead single vibes.

This is on a ton of both Apple Music and Spotify playlists. Also she hasn’t been on Are & Be in forever (if she even has before in her career). That’s like Spotify’s biggest R&B playlist.

I expected way more and at better positions. Especially for all the work they put in. I hope they come through for the next single

Yeah she should just stay independent with major distributor

No like this is literally up there with some of her greatest songs! :jonny:

The video… was cute. I see most of the budget was spent on playlisting bc the difference b/w now and the past several eras is night and day.

  Reveal hidden contents

Didn’t want to say anything in the days coming but she has this friendship with this one stan (who a lot of tinashe twitter stans don’t like - a whole other story. Anyway, she’s been friends with this girl who’s been stan for awhile now. And this stan likes to talk to some other stans on twitter, one of which is a friend, and she told him that she had to reshoot the video bc prior to signing to nice life there was a feeling that they were trying to change her and from their perspective she was being somewhat difficult. Fast forward to TTMN, they requested a specific videographer for her to work with. She agreed to please them and seem more agreeable. Shot the video. It turned out horribly and she used that as leverage to get her way and reshoot the whole thing, which she also said was the cause for the initial release delay. I’m sure some atrl stans know which stan I’m talking about who has become her irl friend.  Anyway, the whole video feels like the budget was wasted on a half baked video, but at least she looks cute and there are some interesting moments and shots.

Yeah this video was shot very recently, I thought it would be for next single or something for the streaming site. I was shocked when It came out today. She should have release a video later and take her time with the video.

She's just so consistently good. Hopefully the album as a whole is going to have this vibe, it reminds me a lot of Nightride.

Thank you for your stream sis! I'm sure Tinashe love that you're supporting Mother Britney. :chick2:

I really like it but at the same time it kinda makes me sleepy

This probably my first time not liking the lead single. Unlike everyone else, I did like Pasadena as the lead for 333. This probably a grower for me so I probably will like the rest of the album once released..

For me who has loved her mixtapes and re-listened to. I don't see this single being in that vibe.. that's just me though.

“appease her mixtape fans” what are you actually talking about; she has always been an experimental rnb artist. this song is nothing like her mixtape sounds imo

people really do just be saying sh1t lmao

i love this song and she is one of the only people out there consistently pulling off a refreshing, left of field sound

this is an interesting lead choice and honestly i’m here for it.

it’s a great lowkey chilled track - no one wants or expects a top 40 hit from tinashe.

i’m perched for this era seeing 333 totally missed the mark for me!

I honestly have no idea how to feel about it, I don't really mind it, but it's like as if she were to release Angels instead of Pasadena as lead single for 333. I hope she'll quickly move on and drop 2nd single :chick3:

Never doubt Queen Tee. Her lead singles since going independent have sounded nothing or a little like the actual record.

I absolutely adore DALB & Pasadena. This is yet another interesting choice, can't wait to dive deeper into BB/ANG3L territory.

Spoiler

Can someone please dm me who that stan actually is? I don't keep up with T fansites, although I should.

The song is great! Obviously it doesn't feel like a single but I like when artists take risks.
