Battlestar Galactica (2004)

The Legend of Korra

Legend of Korra took Avatar in a more artistic and mature direction :clap3:

The definitive answer is Westworld, should have been a miniseries.

Sadly yes, Westworld S1 was great, S2 was decent but not as stellar, and S3 was interesting and had its good moments but the ending was... S4 didn't even watch yet

I really recommend skipping S4 altogether, it is awful.

Revenge, Glee, American Horror Story, High School Music The Musical The Series, True Blood, Twin Peaks, Pretty Little Liars, basically any Ryan Murphy show (also I have a feeling this will happen to Wednesday Addams :monkey:)

Korra didn’t take avatar in a more artistic direction :deadbanana4: and it was Faux deep and not that much mature than Avatar TLA Themes of  genocide, Responsibility, Redemption, and Betrayal. 🤣 I like Korra but the narrative that it was “More Mature” is false. Korra was riddled with contradictory writing and lack of character development for the entire cast. Whereas the Aang Gang overcame thier childhood trauma’s in just one summer.

Riverdale. S1 was so good, then it tumbled into the pits of hell. Deeper and deeper with each following season….

Animation wise it did though :cm: ATLA had mature themes as well, and I agree they did a better job with character development for all of its characters. Sadly since Korra wasn't as continuous as ATLA, it faltered in that development, but I think the show did a great job focusing on Korra's development at least

Also noticed how most shows best seasons are always Season 1,3, or 5🤔

and worst seasons are usually 2,4, or 6?

Riverdale

It was never a perfect show, but at least the first season felt normal. It was a typical CW murder mystery / teen drama with some light bad & cringe acting, but still enjoyable and for what it was it was good.

now halfway through season 2 it went completely off the rails.!

Speaking of the CW, Arrow was great & one of the best for me for the first like 3 seasons, only for it to start getting ruined in season 4 and then completely getting disappointing from season 5 onward.

This is so true. Season 6 is usually rough for shows especially.

The Best Years...where the Canadians at? I was so mad

Omg yes. They made the show so goofy and replaced way too many characters. The complete 180 they did with Kathryn is one of the most jarring character shifts I've ever seen.

I'm not Canadian though. Watched it on The N.

Ngl, I welcomed Kathryn’s shift. It was doing away with literally everyone else that made the second season insufferable. Season 1 was so good and I still rewatch it sometimes. :'( I wonder what happened there, if people didn’t wanna return etc.
