Elon creates a problem, makes it worse for everyone, and then comes with a solution for the problem he created. And then everyone calls him a genius. That's how he created his whole public persona, and he's doing it again.

Such a stupid, stupid man.

If you have safari on iPhone you can bypass it using private browsing. Just log in as you normally would and there should be no limitation

Meta now is your time :gaycat5:

Seriously, I am done. Twitter is honestly done after this :rip: Musk is a total moron and failure

People posted about, "I can't believe Twitter is free," every damn time something remotely funny went viral too much, methinks.

It’s really not that much, you don’t intently read every one, just skimming can add up super quickly.  600 is an insanely low number.

Read this sentence again and think about what "reading 600 tweets" actually means. Think about it. I promise you can get there

Literally scrolling through your feed quickly passes 600 tweets. I know you're not very smart, but it's not that hard to understand.

Not sure if you're trolling or not but "reading" in this case just means scrolling past a tweet. You don't have to interact with a tweet in anyway and it still will count as being "read." Scrolling through 600 tweets really doesn't take a long time, especially if you want to read a long thread and its replies or search something up.

There's a reason why Elon has now raised the limit twice in just a few hours.

If you are mindlessly scrolling through Six hundred tweets and not getting anything out of it, you are an addict, brainlessly scrolling through empty text on a website that you probably vowed you would stop using several dozen times before. Not sure how this is difficult to understand

Except twitter won’t know if your actually read it with your eyes and brain.
If it’s loaded on your screen, you read it according to twitter.

600 is nothing.  It’s shorter than a break at my work.  So you don’t have to be an “addict” for this to affect your account.

Same for me and now I'm back to seeing nothing :rip:

600 tweets is insanely low when you consider that not every tweet will pique your interest, the stuff you scroll past will count in that 600, and those tweets that end up in your search when you are looking for a tweet will count in that 600.

It’s even worse that he has people who pay (thank god I never did it) are being limited. Imagine paying for something and being told you can only use it for a couple hours a day while still being charged.

I think this policy won't last long if they don't want Twitter to dissapear.

I've unfollowed tons of accounts and only saved my absolute favorites/essential accounts

I also only look at the "following" section anyway so I haven't hit the limit yet all day :gaycat5:

I am sure advertisers can't wait to spend money on Twitter after today

Even big twitter blue users are complaining because they lost engagements after most of their followers hit the limit in like less than an hour. :ahh:

If you are mindlessly scrolling through ELEVEN PAGES of comments on this thread and still not understanding any of the information provided out of it, you are an addict, brainlessly scrolling through an empty text on a website that you probably vowed you would stop using several dozen times before. Just refreshing Twitter once and scrolling for a minute or so is enough to get you over the limit.

I honestly don't know how some of you are reading more than 600 tweets a day?? I use Twitter every day but only for about 5-10 min at a time which I would say is about 50 tweets at MOST. I'm not agreeing with this limit but just think y'all are being a bit dramatic

I'm sorry but this is clearly an issue affecting the wide majority of the Twitter userbase, not just a fringe number of ATRL users. Like mentioned previously in this thread by many, 5 to 10 minutes is enough to scroll through 600 tweets on desktop for example. The 600 tweets in question don't even have to be tweets that you are interacting with, it can be just things that you scrolled past on your TL, the trending tab, replies on a specific tweet, every single tweet that the page loads counts.

Not sure why would assume I scrolled through 11 pages of this thread? :rip: but keep commenting on this thread while you are locked out of Twitter to tell everyone how you are definitely not addicted to Twitter. Very convincing honey.
